Hatton is one or two classes above them. Carlos Maussa would probably be a more interesting matchup for them.
What are you kidding me?Ward and both Gatti stop him. Wards hook to the body is better then anything Hatton has and would be too much for Hatton. Gatti hate to tell you boxes better then Hatton and hits harder.
Hatton was a better fighter than Gatti and Ward and beats them both. Hatton was no master boxer but he could go into the boxing style he used against Tackie and the latter rounds against Urango and beat Ward. Gatti was rather vulnerable to the body and Hatton would likely exploit that. Of course there's the chance that Gatti wins a war, lands some huge left hooks, but he's the underdog here. It'd be interesting to see Gatti respond to Hatton's rough, mauling tactics. Gatti hit guys low a LOT. Gatti won 22-24 rounds against Ward in the trilogy, it was pretty one-sided. To be fair, Ward was in his mid 30s but even in younger years, was an inferior fighter to Gatti and Hatton.
Stops them how? Tackle is no even in Wards or Gattis ballpark. Hatton doesn't have the firepower needed to hurt Gatti. But Gatti can hurt Hatton. And on the inside with Ward I'll take Wards hook to the body over anything Hatton can do.
Get outta here. Hatton was a proper champion. He beat a proper champion and fought some top fighters. He lost only to the very best (barring his one failed comeback fight). Gatti was a warrior but was a complete second-rater above 130. Ward was a tough journeyman.
Interesting matchups although i would go with Hatton to beat both, but saying that he too could easily lose to either Ward or Gatti "RIP". Hatton cuts up pretty badly, and both Ward or Gatti were decent enough to be able to open him up easily and force a stoppage.
