the cotto nut hugging is unreal

****ing biased ****s, that is all that is left to ****ing say.

how hatton beating the number 3 pound for pound isnt better than cotto beating mosley who was outside the top 10 is ****ing beyond me

of course mosley would win against hatton, for **** sake hatton is a 140 fighter

Hatton beat number 3 pound for pound and then beat 2-3 good 147 fighters while still having no business there.

cotto when fighting any top pound for pound lost, he has only faced 2 and lost them both.

ill even state that Hattons best win is better then Cottos best win, and? One fight doesnt make a legacy....

and? Despite his strength and power, Mosley is not some huge welterweight like margarito, cintron, clottey, ect.... he came from the lower weights just like cotto did, and cotto beat him with only 3 fights at 147 himself.

Im not going to hold it too hard against ricky that he couldnt beat shane, shane is a beast, a great, and ricky doesnt fight well against bigger fighters at the next weight up, but to go on shitting like cotto like you do, then when its brought up that ricky couldnt beat mosley saying 'of course he couldnt' and yet still trying to maintain that ricky is so much better then cotto?

He beat 2 or 3 good 147lbers huh?

    please name them...

    collazo - 1
    ??? - 2
    ??? - 3

    ???

Let alone Cotto is going to be entering his third weight class to try his hand, while ricky struggled with two.

Look, hatton is a very good fighter, i am a fan, and think he gets way way too much **** and is underrated in just about every aspect. But Cotto is a level above (if just) and thats not a knock on eather one of them, it just is what it is.

Cotto has more depth in his resume, is better head to head (imo), has done better most of the time against common opponents, and has been at the top of 2 divisions and might make it 3.

Hatton is a good fighter though and i hope he is able to get one more big win before he retires.

Right because winning 11 out of 12 rounds really is crap? Getting ****ing real TS, Urango is a tough fighter to look good against and he dominated him. Also, he beat Collazo at a new weight class and in a different country not too mention Collazo is a damn good fighter. Give me a ****ing break only people that don't follow Boxing or haters say that Hatton is a **** fighter. Since when is being the best for 4 years at your division being a **** fighter?

Well, he beat more than ten world champions and is 14-2 in world title fights...in 36 fights. So, "cotto fought 80 percent b level fighters" sounds like faulty math. ...Hmm.

A fight that never took place unfortunately. COTTO vs HATTON at 140-147 or 145 who wins?

Personally I have this 45-55 favoring Cotto.Yes I believe Cotto is somewhat overrated.Even though I rank him slightly ahead of Hatton.

Why u ask? because Cotto is well schooled.Hatton is reckless, lacks a jab.Wings wide looping shots and runs into punches head first got his guard on his neck. But boy is he strong and willing.

And could make this an interesting fight, we know Cotto's suspect chin and stamina, he runs when gassed - hatton can give Cotto a tougher fight contrary to what one might think.

    LMFAO

    Yeah, right. Get real,

Maussa TKO, N'Dou, Corley TKO, Torres KO, peak Malignaggi, Quintana taken out within 6, Judah TKO, old Mosley, Clottey (with one eye) and brave stoppage losses to Pacquiao and Margarito (the former pretty one-sided, the latter more competetive and also with an undeniable question mark over it),

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Eamonn Magee, Vince Phillips, Ben Tackie, making old Tszyu quit, Maussa KO (after Cotto had beat the **** out of him), Collazo (in which he was dead at the final bell), shabbily achieved decision win over Urango, KO of almost washed-up, badly battle-worn Castillo, cherry-picked outta retirement Lazcano and brave stoppage losses to Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao (both one-sided, the latter an actual 2 round annihilation)

Anyone who takes Hatton's CV over Cotto's is a certified CRETIN.

Christ, I'm not even an inordinately big fan of Cotto -- I'd say a modest one -- and yet I'd call that plain as day.

What is it with scousers and Hatton? It's like the horrible little beggars see some inherent lowliness of their scabby selves reflected in his pale, drawn, malnourished looking, ginger countenance - it's the only thing I can think of as to why they can't get enough of his hands-down, face-first, hug-tastic ring 'heroics'.

Do you hope it's against Marquez?

    I don't.

No self-respecting boxing fan should want to see a fighter of Marquez' station bow out on a loss to a comparative jockstrap-carrier like Hatton.

That's not even hate, that's just calling it like it is for the love of the sport. Marquez is at least 2 grades above Hatton.

That is hate. If Hatton is a "jockstrap-carrier" why are we even talking about him? If he was really such a bum, how has he made it this far? Why has he beaten the likes of Castillo, Urango, Paulie, Tzsyu, and heck even a Ben Tackie? Hatton is hands down thee most underratedboxer because of comments like this. Hatton was the best at JWW for 4 years. You may not like the way he fights, but at least give the man the respect he deserves. Hatton was a very good fighter, not a "jockstrap-carrier" GTFO with that bull****.

    ****ing, newbie quickly logs off.

For ****'s sake, I can't stand these threads about how "anyone who has ever had a bad fight sucks ass" threads made by junior high kids during study hall. By these criteria Ali shouldn't be in the ****ing hall of fame. For HOF they usually go by your best wins, whether you were the best in the world at your weight for a while, things like that. They don't go through every fight where you fought someone who isn't in the hall of fame and make sure that you pounded them into a mush in the first round. Christ.

    Agreed.

    Agreed.

Agreed. Good work Kirk. Thank you for dragging a little sanity into this thread.

Its seems to be one extreme to another with these guys. Hatton is a good fighter. He's achieved alot. But he isn't as big a deal as some would like to believe either. I don't think it helps that his was an ugly holding/ wrestling style that made many of his fights hard to watch. But, he was extremely popular in the UK nonetheless. I think he'll make it to the HOF.
