Yes floyd is a great fighter etc etc. I think it was more about what hatton didnt do rather than what floyd did. Where was the body punching? De la hoya put far more pressure on floyd than hatton did. Ricky seemed weak, his punches had no snap whatsoever and he seemed to have no strength. Floyd did a good job of spoiling on the inside, but ricky didnt even seem to attempt to throw enough punches or put enough pressure on him. He just seemed to stalk him without doing anything, and of course leading with his face as usual.

its the body punches thing that I dont understand. The known body puncher throwing NO BODY punches. I think losing all that weight/overtraining whatever, had an effect on him. I swear hatton threw nowhere near as many punches as usual. He did 15 rounds in training on JUST body punching, and then in the fight throws no body punches. He looked knackered from round two onwards.

i dont know what it was, people are lauding mayweather and yes he is a great fighter, but the hatton he beat last night isnt the hatton I have witnessed. He had nothing, threw hardly any punches, and seemed grateful to rest on the ropes when mayweather grabbed him. Round after Round it was the same thing. Like I said, he seemed like he had no strength whatsoever. it was weird.

    Maybe.

I think whatever shape Hatton turns up in he gets beaten by Mayweather. At Welterweight, we found this out in the Collazo fight, Hatton loses power, ain't got the chin, or the staminia. I thought it was ridiclious for a man to go to back to the same division he lost his first fight at and against the universally recognised p4p #1. Stupid.

Mayweather needs to move on and fight the best in his division which is consequently Cotto and Williams.

Hatton drop back down to natural weight.

Hatton was probably a little past it then too.

All the partying got to him.

The reason Hatton wasnt body punching is because of Mayweather's speed. Btw notice that cotto wasnt throwing many body punches on Mosley as well and Cotto is a known body puncher. When you go to the body you are vulnerable for counter and if the opponent is a quick counter puncher you may get cought.

Whilst on the inside PBF was negating Hatton's work by pushing the forearm into Hatton's face. Hatton couldn't get shots off because Mayweather was too good at being crafty inside. His defence inside, and at range, give him that solid foundation, his pin point accurate punches add to the tremendous defence.

I genuinely think Ricky was surprised at the good inside work from PBF and there was no plan B in effect.

It wasa great performance in the end gby Floyd and all credit to him. Hatton will no doubt move back to light Welter, and hopefully get some fights v Malignaggi, Witter, Torres etc. He doesn't belong at Welter, and will struggle against the elite fighters in that division.

because Mayweather made him look that way.. finish your sentence..

as RJJ said.. 'They say I ain't never fight nobody.. I just make them look like nobody'..

Hatton was outclassed.. plain and simple.. he's still a hell of a fighter..

Haton is a junior welter and struggle in his only fight at welter. Floyd is a lil comfortable at welter and knocked out a smaller opponent. I do not like Floyd but I said that this fight was going to be a walk in the park for Floyd due to the size. Hatton fought his ass off and got caught coming in. Hatton was not weak or nervous, he had chances but did not have no pop on his punches can was hitting Floyd on awkard angles up close. Like I said a hundred times when you are up close unless you got really good upper body strength your punches does not have the same effect when you fight outside or from a distance and I think the 10th round showed you that.

 You Americans and your desperate attempts to make sense of things.

Hatton did not look right in that fight. He looked worse than Tyson going into the Buster Douglas fight.

He looked bad because he was not a fighter in his prime.

    Simple as that.
