Hatton weight in?

TFFP you often go on about Hattons physical advantage, and how he bullies people at 140... and that is the only reason why he is successful there... and why he fails to cut it at 147 - a division with the likes of Margo, and Paul Williams.

Anyway, physical strength does not always = size. It's clear as day Hatton is very strong at 140, but when guys can't be bullied at 147 he gets shown up.

 

I knew that point was coming; of cause he is physically very strong. At the end of the day though how is having great strenth different skill wise from having good speed or great stamina - they are all skills.

It's not like he's a man mountain (relatively) like Margo, Clotty, or Paul Williams in the WW division - that is bullying. Hatton is smaller then nearly all the guys he fights. You could say Tyson (who was smaller) bullied opponents but that was mentally.

It's hard to go with the bullying line when the guy has only every fought two people shorter then him - and is clearly smaller then the majority of his opponents.

Yes he "bullies" opponents but that is not because he has a clear physical size advantage.

 

I never once claimed that though. That isn't the crux of my point.

More that Hatton is a fighter overly reliant on strength. That only transfers well to one weight class, as has been evident. He's a bit of a one trick pony, thats his problem when he has to deal with guys that aren't overawed by his strength.

 

IMO, Hattons build was ridiculous, as usual. True, he was as thin as I have ever seen him.
However, I have always said that Hatton has freakish muscle definition compared to your typical englander!
Paulie looked the business himself, but Hatton... It never ceases to amaze me the shape he can get himself into.

& dont worry folks, Im not going to accuse hatton of being on the roids, YET

& thats an honest joke about the roids folks, just incase I get anyone calling me anymore names than I have already been called this past fortnight

Hatton looked ill, his looked like he had a 20" waist.

 

He carrys his weight on his legs (thighs) - always has.

 

No he didn't, he looked like a cut fit Junior Welter weight... whether he can win the fight is another matter.

That said for all Malignaggi's theatrics on the scales he looked intimidated during the staredown, not that these things mean anything.

 

I thought Hatton looked alot better than he has in the last few fights.
