When i looked at this i thought the same, Hatton may have a bigger fist but thats it. I think Pac suits this weight very well. I feel sorry for Hatton thoe, but thats boxing.

Fighters like ricky will never beat a true p4p champ. Even in the run up to the fight hatton was saying that 'my strength will be too much' and 'im a handfull for anyone'. I dont think he learned from what happended the last time he fought the p4p 1. This isnt wrestling its boxing and at the elite level who cant simply rely on physical strength or size to win a fight.

However just because hatton is not a p4p contender does not mean he isnt a dominant champ in the 140lb weight class. Mayweather should take notes from pacquiao. This is what a true ATG does in the ring.

Those Sentana British announcers were horrible. "What a dramatic fight!" the lead commentator yells after Hatton lands a descent right early in the second that did very little to Pac. They were also insinuating that Hatton's long career had finally caught up to him when Pac would land big shots as though the punches wouldn't have fazed him otherwise. :-(

 

so that explains why we get threads and replies here from some brits that hatton's lifestyle had caught up with him. is this the official excuse now?

 

Iduno. As far as I'm concerned, there is no plausible excuse for not moving his head when they said he would.

 

Pacquiao was obviously the better man in that ring and would have beat Hatton at any point from his career, but the punch resistance Hatton relies on was obviously not there, wether thats a result of his lifestyle or not, who knows?

There is a difference between an excuse and an observation.
