I'm starting this thread so at the end of the fight, I can go back to this fight and show you guys how I once against predicted a fight.

I feel that Hatton's speed, strength, and superior jab will pull him through against Pacquiao.

Pacquiao has trouble against fighter with good jabs (Erik Morales and JMM) and Hatton is alot more physical and just as fast if not faster.

Inside fighting will play a big part in this fight ... Hatton will muscle, man handle and bruise Pacquiao.

I think Pacquiao will get lured into Hattons fight and lose all control ...

He has never seen anything like Hatton --

    Hatton by late round TKO

Pac is fast but he doesn't move and isn't as defensive minded as say a PBF.

Great fight. I wouldn't mind seeing Hatton win. Won't be easy though.

I see this fight being like Hatton v Tszyu ... even though Tszyu is a better inside fighter than Pacquiao.

Hatton does not have a good jab. At best it's below average. :deal

"Hatton does not have a good jab. At best it's below average."

agree completely but not below average. Hatton wont win Pac with the jab he has to pin him down and hit the body and head in combos from the inside.

I agree, Hatton gets better in physical fights which is what this fight will be.
    Hatton will win this.

collazo a southpaw gave hatton problems. manny southpaw or not is an awkward fighter, but they both have high energy levels, i still think manny might have an advantage on the outside by being the faster one and might outbox hatton. hatton's best punch might be his left hook, which works very well vs. southpaws. hatton might put the pressure on manny, but manny might get the better of the exchanges and beat him to the punch with his precise punching that comes from his speed and weird angles. the only way i see hatton winning this might be the early rounds with his weight advantage and some counterpunching catching manny coming in like jmm did because they are almost the same height. manny is not the face first fighter anymore, but hatton has made some improvements as well so it's a hard pick, but for now i'd lean towards manny, but not from his win over dlh. versus the bigger guys i think manny's not going to get as many ko's but most likely more stoppages.

Pac also has much better movement and footwork than Tszyu did and won't allow Hatton to get inside on him so easily. The reason why Hatton had success against Tszyu as because he was constantly able to get inside and hold Tszyu's arm while punching him to the body. Any objectionable ref wouldn't have allowed that and I'm sure Roach will see to it that a Pac get's a fare ref who won't allow such tactics.

Hatton's best punch against the southpaw is the straight right.

Pac's lead straight left will be the difference in this fight as Hatton walks right into it time and time again.

He'll be snapping Hatton's head back at least 2 times per round.

Pac by UD or late stoppage.

Pacman wont fight hatton's fight. He will used a lot of footwork like the delahoya fight and will try to used his speed to beat hatton to the punch. Hatton defense is not that good either so expect for pacman to land that straight left a lot. I dont think pacman will brawl with hatton. He will used his speed and if a brawl do happen, pacman has the speed to outpunch hatton and win those exchanges.

Morales and Marquez are better boxer than hatton. Hatton is more of a brawler than a boxer. The pacman morales beat back in 2005 was a one dimensional pacman who only had the left straight same with the pacman marquez fought in 2004. Pacman is much better now than he was back then.
