Hatton still dominated him though. Excessive holding coming in the last part of the fight. It wears people down, even big big fighters such as Urango

I don't care. Fighters do what they need to do. Hatton won't be the first or last fighter to hold. If you don't like the hit and hold technique you shouldn't be watching boxing mate, LOTS of fighters do it.

Big difference between 43 and 37.

1 Year in Boxing is massive, when you get into your mid 30's

Calzaghe has a better engine than Mosley like Calzaghe has a better engine than Jermain Taylor who is younger than him, some guys have naturally bad stamina(Eubank) some guys have naturally good stamina(Paul Ingle) but more often than not age slows most fighters down.

Calzaghe is an exception we all know that. Name me a long list of fighters who could sustain like Calzaghe at the age of 37 ?

Just because he is older, doesn't mean that it isn't illegal. If he gets in the ring, then he should abide by the rules. If you claim that holding is illegal for Hatton, then it should be the same for Hopkins. No matter his age.

Calzaghes stamina is unparralled at his age.. but the question isn't stamina, it was about holding.

Hopkins didn't hold vs Pavlik much, because he does it as a spoiler when hes not winning.

He did'nt do it against Pavlik, because it was a snail pace, because going up to the 175lbs division clearly effected Pavlik.

Roach said about the Calzaghe fight that Hopkins had a thyroid problem they they were trying too control.

Mate the Castillo fight there wasn't much clinching at all... it is known as in fighting. Has been part of boxing for a century

Dude what is your obsession with the Urango fight? Hatton beat up on the biggest guy in the division for nearly every round whilst suffering with a chest infection

    :rofl

Harold Lederman was calling him hook and hold Ricky Hatton. Jim Lampley was calling it a clinching festival.

You must have an awful eye for Boxing seriously.:-(

Harold Lederman... you mean the biased yank that was sucking Castillo off the entire time during the build up of that fight? You mean the same guy that talks more **** than you?

    Agreed.

And regardless of the tactics taken by either fighter, I expect Pacman to be down for much longer than a 3 count.

Man you have come up with more excuses than anything... you have even tried suggesting it's OK for Hopkins to hold because he is old LOL Change the record man... if you don't like Hattons style don't watch him. Just stop trying to bull**** everyone else with excuses because they don't agree with your opinion

Dude your a fool, if you think Hatton was not holding in that fight.

Blue145 seems to be a unbiased fan im sure he will agree Hatton did a lot of holding in that fight. Saying that you dont even have to be unbiased to know that you just need a brain and some commonsense:lol:

What fight were you watching. Hatton was trying to hold and FLoyd kept him off with the elbow to the throat. Everyone knows that.
