I don't think Naz Barrera was too close, and yes Toney was embarassed, Tarver was close to top ten... Just to add to the list though Pac embarraseed Barrera who was in the top 3 on most peoples list, wasn't Lennox in the top 10 when he was KOed by Rahman also?(i guess that was a fluke though) Plus Tarver Jones 2, complete embarassment, not a fluke i dont think. just a few off the top of my head, it happens:yep
Uh.. Strictly in terms of defence, Mayweather Jr ranks up there with Whitaker, Benitez, Locche, Pep, etc. He's what we call a defencive genius -- even hitting him flush is quite a task in itself, but knocking him out? That would take a special fighter. Don't get me wrong -- it's not impossible. I think Leonard, Hearns and Duran could have done it, just to throw a few names out. But Ricky Hatton? No.
It's all about styles. Can Hatton's mauling, grabbing, rib-tickling style upset Mayweather's slick boxer-runner style? Maybe. We'll only know when they fight. Somehow I think Mayweather will win a dec. But Hatton will keep coming all night, mauling and digging. Who knows.
There was a thread about why there was anti-american feeling recently coming through on this forum................The reason..............Twats like this.........:-(
Lets not exaggerate..if Hatton pulls this off it will be the biggestperformance of any brit boxer period. But I really can see Ricky winning this fight. He does not fear Floyd but I think Floyd will have a nagging doubt going into this fight. My prediction is it will be a rough fight- if Hatton manages the upset then there will be accusations of roughhouse/dirty tactics on this board. There are so many possible outcomes to this fight IMO
When hatton beat's the brake's off mayweather,i guess we could put collazo above mayweather in the welterweight rankings and next year's scenario will be cintron vs mosley, hatton vs de la hoya and floyd will retire. Floyd is not taking this fight too seriously and he see's it as a easy fight, but floyd and his fan's will be in for a long night.Hatton will make mayweather use his leg's more then he ever has and also floyd will have to keep up a high punch rate along with a very fast pace. Floyd hasn't had a tough fight in a long time and that will be hatton's key to this fight, because hatton will put soo much pressure on floyd that i can see floyd quiting on his stool in the late rounds.
Mayweather is a promoter and business man now and the last thing he want's is a tough fight and i think once floyd start's feeling the pressure he will break down, just like castillo and kostya.Hatton's pressure will break mayweather's wind-pipes.
Fair enough. I just don't think you can bank on a fighter not taking a fight seriously. Especially a guy like Floyd. The guy is always in shape, and is always prepared. Floyd may be a business man, but he is paranoid of losing. I doubt he'll let overconfidence cost him his 0. Furthermore, I believe Ricky's pressure style will get him beat up. I don't think you should constantly pressure a skilled boxer unless you have a good jab and a solid defense. I'm not saying Ricky can't win, but he's going to have to utilize his jab more, and also be more defensive minded(especially when they're in the middle of the ring).
You're a ****ing idiot not taking Hatton seriously. You don't know **** about PBF's career. PBF takes every fight serious and trains hard for every opponent he faces regardless of their skill level. It's the reason why he's P4P #1 and 38-0.:deal All of your points about PBF are pure garbage PBF quitting on a stool? He's shown more heart in the ring than Hatton has. He's fought with broken hands and bruised ribs and continued on to pull out the win. Get the **** outta here. You are seriously underestimating PBF's chin and heart here big time.:deal Some things for you to think about. How will Hatton overcome the reach advantage? How will Hatton overcome PBF's excellent counter-punching How will hatton overcome getting beaten to the punch? How will Hatton overcome PBF's superior footwork? How will Hatton overcome PBF's superior defense? How will Hatton overcome PBF's superior ring-generalship? I'll wait.:hi: PBF has fought boxers like Hatton before but the same can't be said about Hatton
Hatton had no chance against Tzsyu according to 99% of people here. And at least 75% of people here said Lacy would KO Calzaghe in devastating fashion. I'm picking Hatton here. Mayweather looked **** against DeLaHoya, and Hatton looked good in his last fight. DeLaHoya - who is old and slow - landed body shots against Floyd but they had nothing on them. Hatton's a different animal entirely. He'll take away Floyd's legs, wear him down. Remember, Tzsyu was supposed to kill Hatton, blow him away.
