Hmmmm.....sounds like you're preparing to make an excuse for Hatton when he loses to Pac.

 

They're both almost the same age I think. If Ricky's getting older, so is Manny.

Yeah this is a sensible move while there's still no word from l'l Floyd because once he gets into the picture, Team Pac might have other ideas than a Wembley fight.

Ray is doing the right thing tempting them to sign the dotted line a.s.a.p. while Arum is dangling a Zab encounter that really doesn't make sense, but you know is just the same ploy.

 

Nah, its not that, its more that Hatton wants Pac to sign before Floyd enters the equation and gets him first.

I would prefer that Hatton vs Pac comes off first, should be a barnstormer, and makes the Pac vs Floyd fight even bigger.

 

Excellent point. If Hatton waits for a Pac fight he will very likely end up fighting only one time next year. And with Mayweather as his trainer I got the impression that he wanted to hone his new skills and stay much more active, 3 fights a year sort of thing. He would be better off having a title fight at 140 with one of the other beltholders to really establish himself once more as the champion with the belts at 140. Assuming he fights in March or April, he could have an August or September fight with Pac, and then whoever wins that could have a huge fight in the fall with whoever else is the big name at 135 or 140. Maybe Timothy Bradley with two of the belts, or possibly JMM or maybe FMJ will wait it out and will fight the winner of Pac-Hatton.

135-140-147 are the hottest divisions in the sport right now. So many good fighters at an elite level and they all are going to be fighting each other in the next 2 years or so.

 

Sanity!!! This new rating of Pac based on 2 fights over 130, Diaz and Oscar is crazy. "Pac hits like a frightrain"??? He hit Diaz and Oscar with everything but the kitchen sink for round after round and got both stoppages on acclumination not outright power.

I completely disagree. Hatton is very, very strong for his size and is a monster at 140. Pac will have a hard time stopping Hatton coming forward. I see a Hatton UD in a great fight.

Why does the Mayweather loss skew perspective of Hatton's ability? Mayweathers game plan went out the window and he admitted himself Hatton was one of the hardest fighters he's faced. He wouldn't stop coming forward.

A combination of Hattons frustration and anger and Mayweathers timing and underrated strength was the reason for the loss, not because Hatton is a bum who was schooled and is weak. Pac will learn this very quickly should he fight him.

pac has the power in both hands and more importantly speed to keep ricky off him. trust me, unless hatton improves his headmovement drastically (which he wont) he's is gonna eat alot of leather coming forward. majority of this fight will be in the center of the ring where pac will own him.

mannys speed, footwork and lateral movement will frustrate ricky to the point where he will abandon whatever game plan he has, resort to his old ways (stalking with no defense) which will leave him even more vunerable to pac strait left. did i mention ricky has a hard time with southpaws, speed fighters & cutts easily ?

ive seen many hatton fights/highlights where hes minor cuts above both eyes. maybe not serious cuts or recently, but if i can count on him getting cut it'd be against a guy like pac who throws alot of crisp sharp punches.. i could also see the classic conventional/southpaw head clash as both fighters collide, cant u?

Ricky has never abandoned a game plan, he even drew Mayweather into his kind of fight. What can Pac do that the others couldn't? He just isn't strong enough. It takes fighters like Mayweather, Cotto, Marg to dominate a fighter like Hatton, not Pac.

Southpaws? He hasn't lost to one.
Speed? The fastest in the world beat him sure but that was timing not speed. Maliggnaggi is speedy but Hatton was faster.
Cuts? Every fighter cuts and Hatton has never lost on cuts.

Your arguments do not add weight to the PacMan express. I love Pac, I really do but Hatton will win the fight. "Trust you?", no, trust me.

 

Hatton vs Holt/Bradley/Torres would be lovely matches!
