Hatton would easily defeat Malignaggi

I will agree to disagree when it comes to Collazo. But lets face facts. Malignaggi is nowhere near the standard of Mayweather when it comes to foot speed, hand speed or power.

Your basis for saying Malignaggi will beat Hatton is because he is young ???? and he can box???

Hardly ground breaking but I'll humour you.

By you saying he is young I imagine you think he has more stamina and will outlast Hatton. Trust me this won't happen. I am not saying Hatton isn't limited because he is. But he is only troubled by fighters who can hault his charges with some form of punching power.

Malignaggi will not earn his respect or befuddle him with that prodding excuse of a jab.

You are also suggesting he will outbox Hatton. I don't think this will happen either as Paulie (unlike Mayweather) doesn't have the defensive skills to nullify Hatton's attacks and force him into the middle of the ring.

No, Collazo is a 'B' fighter at best - nobody other than manic Hatton fans consider him anything else - because beating up on Ricky was the only time he ever looked good.

Oh hes faster now at 140 than PBF is at 147, again this is obvious to anyone who's watched boxing. For all his faults Paulie is as quick as anyone in the sport besides maybe Judah.

No, hatton should not fight anyone who is young and can box - they'll beat him, its simple. Even the limited Collazo (if he didn't beat hatton on the cards he certainly beat him up.)

Even if he beats Paulie, which he probably will if he fights like he did against Ngoudjo, Hatton will take a million flush shots and look like he's been in a train wreck again.

Ricky has faced two young, prime (or close to it) boxers, one OK (Collazo), one great (PBF) and taken shellackings both times. My 'fact' is Ricky is a lamb to the slaughter for any prime boxer, his skills are that bad.

    :rofl

Paulie should fight Junior Witter - the winner of that should get a shot at Ricky Hatton

Hatton should be begging for a chance at the fighter with the most prestigious belt - Junior. Witter will beat them both.

You don't half talk some ****

Collazo might be B Level, but he's a genuine welterweight, and a southpaw which always causes Hatton problems. See Eamonn Magee. Malignaggi is neither. Collazo is also B class in a very good division, whereas Malignaggi holds a joke belt in a weaker division. What does he have on those judges?

Malignaggi's speed is ridiculously overrated. He didn't look very fast to me, aside from the opening few rounds. Once he felt Ngoudjo's power he resorted to potshotting, and neither his handspeed nor speed of foot was particularly prevelant in the fight. To say he is faster than Mayweather is nothing short of a joke. I don't even think he is faster than Hatton

Who cares what Hatton's face looks like? He always looks ****, he's prone to cuts. Fact is Malignaggi can't hurt him. He can't run from him. He can't stop him getting inside. He doesn't have the defence to avoid a beating

He has done nothing to prove himself as above B class, so your ramblings on Collazo are silly. He looked flabby to me, he should get his ass down to lightweight, where he might have more success, because he doesn't beat Witter or Hatton

Agreed. I also don't understand why getting smashed by Cotto and holding wins over such huge names as Edner Cherry and Lovemore N'dou make you an A class fighter.

I am not a Malignaggi fan but I think he just had a bad night. He may not have the pop to keep Ricky off him but he has good skills and I can see him giving Ricky trouble ( especially if Ricky runs out of ideas as he did against Floyd )

    TKO 11 Hatton , but I wouldn't put money on it !
