At 140 ofc. Both were amazing fighters @ 140. I honestly would have wanted to see this fight. I think even though Zab is a front runner, he'd dish it out to Hatton and fought a war for 6-7 rounds until Hatton got the stoppage on him. Sigh. This would have been a good fight.
Zab has the greatest chance of KOing Hatton before 6th round. After the 6th, Zab drops his heart at the spitbucket and Hatton KOs him in the 9th.
Agreed. If Zab had any heart whatsoever, he'd be a force to be reckoned with. What a waste of a talent.
Knocked Zab out in the Second Round With Hatton In Fight Night Champion LOL Caught Him on The Ropes Hit him with a counter Hook GN. :rofl
I agree Zab would have been the biggest threat earlier in the fight. If he managed to land a few of those vicious uppercuts he might have got an early KO. If Hatton managed to keep the pressure on and the fight went past 6 rounds Zab would start fading and we could have seen a late stoppage.
It would definitely have been exciting but I think Hatton would have broken him down and made him quit/tko in about 10 rounds, Zab would have more than likely took the first few rounds.
Why would it be FOTY? :huh Nothing about the union of their styles would suggest that to me. Rick would try to maul, and Zabdiel would use his significant quicker feet to backpedal with his hands low and try to catch him running in with left uppercuts. (one of which might very well have eventually laid him flat) I don't see there being that many epic two-way exchanges, really.
Hatton really is all wrong for Zab. Unless Judah catches Hatton with an uppercut or two as Ricky charges in during the first say 4 rounds, then Hatton eventually stops him. Judah needs a mid level distance to really be effective, Hatton had the foot speed to close the gap, get inside and rough Zab up, Judah's flashy defensive manouvers would be negated by Hattons under rated ability to step to either his left or his right and bang away to the body and head. An example like scenario would be where Zab dips at the waist, and pivots out to his right, Hatton has the swiftness of foot to react to this and position himself appropriatley so he could continue his offensive onslaught. 8 times out of 10 Hatton stops Judah between 10 and 12 2 times out of 10 Judah catches Hatton charging in with something he doesn't see coming, and stops him. IMO.
I can see that argument, though I do think Hatton's natrual instinct to hold could serve him well here.
