he looked on edge and look defeated walking to the ring, i thought he lost the fight there, he should of kept evreything simple and focused, and SR telling the press that there is a rift wasnt exactly the best and turning up late when Pac and roach are burning through sparring partners
Hey floyd snr said to hatton you gotta train between fights i want you for longer etc and hatton said no he only has himself to blame.
Surely you're contradicting yourself here? Why bring in the 'Man in Leather Pants' if he's a/ not gonna teach you anything new, or b/ you don't take his 'advice?' Billy Graham started getting slagged off after he lost (contentiously, in my opinion - Cortez just wrecked any chance he had with his continuous interfering when Hatton tried to get in close) to the P4P best boxer in the world - and, some would say, maybe the greatest of ALL TIME. As you rightly point out, it's easy to make a scapegoat out of the trainer, but let's not forget, Graham was his mentor right up to this point, and I think it's really sad that Hatton has had his head turned by people with different agendas to what is really in the best interests of Ricky Hatton.
:verysad Sr or Cortez didnt have **** to do with Hatton losing in those two fights...You need to blame Hatton because he couldnt beat these two guys.
We're all entitled to our opinions, and yours, old chum, are wrong. Ricky Hatton had the tools to make PBF a lot more uncomfortable in their contest; however, the referee chose not to allow him to 'fight his fighr' for whatever reason, and the rest is history. I'm not saying that Hatton would have definitely won, but he was certainly disadvantaged by the 'picky' Cortez. And that's why, I believe, a rematch could have been secured, as many observers share my misgivings about the path this fight took, and could be completely different with a more reasonable third man in the ring with them. However, this is of course all academic now, as Hatton is now finished at that elite level after the trouncing he took this weekend at the hands of Manny Pacquaio - a true force of nature and a man assured of legendary status in the history books.
:| ****ing crybaby! Facts is that Hatton is not on the level of Pacman or Floyd...FACT Buddy You can have you bias opinion all you want to!:good
Hatton looked like **** in this fight. Of course this was because Pacman was awesome, but Hatton's defence sucked bigtime. Imo the guy just can't box. He constantly wants to bulldozer forward and doesn't seem to know that you need space to punch and stretch your arms outatsch:rofl
The two reasons why he lost? 1: Because he isn`t a world class fighter. 2: Because he listened to his dickhead Dad whos knowledge of boxing could be written on the back of a postage stamp.
I tend to agree. Pacquaio is liking a whirlwind coming at you, and Hatton just didn't know what to do, other than what he always does. Which begs the question, Why didn't the 'man in in leather pants' change his man's strategy in this fight, and stop trying to be the out-and-out macho man as usual?! You can't fight every fighter - especially the elite - as if they're all bums waiting to get k.o'd!
