I love how this fool is blaming Sr for Hatton getting his head beat in, for 2 rounds!:rofl

Flip side...Why didnt Hatton try to work off his jab instead of charging head first like a ****ing idiot??? You dont know what went in the camp so for you to sit here and make dumbass, outlandish comments like this make you look like a ****ing fool!

    Woah there, pal!

Presumably, he went "charging head first like a f*cking idiot" because that's how his corner told him to fight?!:think

And if they did, they have to take some of the blame for this one sided massacre, just as they'd be able to wallow in the glory if they'd managed to pull off the win!

The only person making "dumbass, outlandish comments" on this thread would appear to be, er, you?!:hi:

No deals that you...I'm not trying to convert the blame on a trianer like he's the one fighting in the ring...I think you need to rethink what you're saying FOOL! You dont see me making threads about how Sr. screwed Hatton up or how Cortez made Hatton head bounce off the turn-buckle...:rofl.

So lets look at this way...Instead of giving Pacman his props for beating Ricky into a pulp...You go on the deep end and spew bull**** on how Sr. screwed him up....You're the one who's making yourself look the ass here dude.

Something else...Why in the **** would Sr. tell Hatton to rush Pacman head first with no guard up??? Do you seriously know how ****ing stupid you sound with that type of comment...why dont you give us a full description of Team Hatton's fight plan since you think you know the game plan.:deal

If Hatton had stayed with Warren then you can guarantee that he would not have fought Mayweather and Pacquiao. He would have probably faced a faded De La Hoya and then retired at 47-0 and people would be talking about him as an ATG.

So even though Hatton has fallen well short of the class of Mayweather and Pacquiao at least he had the balls to ditch Warren and use his best years to face greats in their prime.

    You're not wrong, Jimbob!

Warren wraps his 'cashcows' in cotton wool forever - you won't see Amir Khan fight anything other than shopworn superstars any time soon, you can be guaranteed!

Good management - or cynical profiteering from a gullible paying public?

    I go for the latter.

If thats the case why did Warren allow Khan to fight Prescott?

Wouldnt have mattered with Billy in his corner unless Billy had a rifle with a scope...The only thing getting mayweather did was confuse Ricky and make the inevitable happen faster

So, it is smart to hire a different coach that wouldn't help you improve? You just contradicted yourself by saying that.

The way I saw the fight; Ricky Hatton was actually trying to apply everything that he learned from Mayweather. If you looked closely you'll see that Hatton is actually trying to weave his head but failing that; he reverted to his oldself and fought like an angry toddler. It's like what Mike Tyson said "Everyone has a plan until get hit" or something like that.

I do agree that blaming your trainer for your lost is ridiculous like what Dela Hoya did, but this time I must say that Mayweather Sr. played a part in Hatton's failure. He failed to calm his fighter down. In the second round you'll hear Sr. saying to Hatton "Keep your hands up, move your head, overpower him, overpower him." Seriously... He's just mixing up his commands. His fighter was hurt badly and he was asking him to over power his opponent?

Also, I heard that he arrived a few minutes before the fight started. He should've arrived with Ricky or atleast talked to Ricky before the fight. Talking about the game plan but no, he didn't do any of that. All he thinks about is "I'm the best trainer in the world" "I'm this and that" and Roach/Pacquiao embrassed him and Hatton.

It's not that Hatton is no good. He was outclassed by a better boxer.

Warren allowed Khan's new trainer to be matchmaker for that one fight, after Khan sacked Oliver Harrison...(hey, haven't we been here before?!)

Prescott promptly starched Khan inside a round, and would you believe it... Warren fires Khan's trainer on the spot!

Try watching the end of the fight on Youtube, the look on Warren's face is . . .
    PRICELESS!!!!

Apparently the fight was taken on the advise of Jorge Rubio who said that Prescott was tailor made for Kahn and as Prescott was unbeaten and had a good record on paper it would have looked good for Kahn to beat an undefeated knock out artist. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and even Warren gets his match making wrong sometimes, just look at the Haye Maccarinelli fight. Warren was banking on Haye being dead at the weight after stepping up to heavy to fight Bonin and then after the Mormeck fight saying that it was to much of a srtuggle to make cruiser. Warren is the master of risk calculation but no one gets it right 100% of the time.

Cortez let him do more of his B.S. than he should have. Ricky's plan was get on his chest and push forearms into Floyds face, thats it. It was his only chance of survival. Hatton was going to get timed and KOed in that fight no matter who was reffing, it was just a matter of time.
