It's been almost a week since the Pacquiao/Hatton fight. I would like to know what do boxing fans (especially Hattons fans) think he should do. He could just hang up the gloves and enjoy retirement as a young man with millions of dollars in his bank account, he could keep on fighting, or have a farewell fight for his fans back at home. If he does a farewell fight, do you guys think Michael Katsidis is a good choice? Anyways, I'm just wondering because Hatton is a very entertaining fighter, down to earth person and I know whatever he decides I'll respect and support. I just hope he doesn't pull a Trinidad on us :yep. :happyThere's only one Ricky Hatton!!!!:happy
however i do believe hatton will have a farewell fight because he has always said he will never retire on a loss and its been reported that his mum said he wants a farewell fight
Whatever he does ,keep it in the UK.Hatton is finished in the US as a main eventer. Let the Brits fund his next fight.
He should give Pacman some credit for outclassing him instead of saying 'if I'd just done this and that' The hard fact is that he was totally outclassed and the sooner he admits this the better. Only then can he move on and make improvements. Either have a farewell fight or go back to the drawing board with a Coach like Roach who will work on improving his strengths rather than trying to change him completely. Mayweather Sr only knows how to train one kind of boxer...Mayweather Jr. He has no idea how to train brawlers.
One farewell fight at CoM Stadium against Amir Khan. I've always held a grudge that Hatton-Witter never got made but I don't want to see that fight now.
Fight Katsidis and see what happens. Trouble is, if Ricky beats Katsidis there will be calls for him to fight Khan (another fight Hatton should win). If he beats Khan, there will be someone else out there they want him to fight.
