The school could have given her time off if and asked her to see if
Ricky could call in on the school for 1/2 an hour some time to meet
some students. Probably would be the best thing to happen to them
all year and they could have told people for years that they met
Ricky Hatton at their school.

I'm from Australia and that's a typical aussie solution ... the Poms
are a bit more stuffy than us in Oz tho

 

So she is deserting her students that she is committed to.

I could be wrong but I think it's his ex-girlfriend(and the father of his child) that he had been with since 'high-school' till 2/3 years ago .
