Heard Ricky's dad Ray say that they had 70,000 applications via ballot for their 3,500 tickets. Was it just hyperbole? that sounds like an awful lot of fans, especially to travel to Vegas. I know he's well supported (I've been to Manchester twice and London once to see the Hitman) but 70,000?? I don't believe it.

I can believe it. 70,000 out of over 60 million people is not impossible.

No, but 70,000 people travelling half way around the world just before Christmas is quite remarkable.

    I do believe it..

The Uk pound is almost worth 2.5times more then the us dollar at present meaning a very cheap holiday to vegas for the poms..

Remember the poms love their sport and with over 55million people(im sure its alot higher) i wouldnt find it too hard to believe 70 000 of them want to go for the fight/holiday to vegas.

Give them all a good excuse to get pissed and make gooses of themselves.lol.

This bout is ten times bigger then the Calzaghe fight as this is Englands top dog up against the pound for pound so called unbeatable self proclaimed pretty boy....Floyd Mayweather Jrn..

They should of had this bout at a bigger venue..

Like a 100thousand seat stadium..The poms are going to go nuts.

I believe it. They should do this in Yankee Stadium or something.

I also heard that already 34.000 already have plain tickets. While they only had 6.000 tickets. I think 99% of the free tickets also went to Brits. So there will be around 11.000 brits with a tickt. the other 23.000 will go to close venue events. Hatton is the biggest draw in boxing today. Bigger then Oscar.

not surprised at all. I had heard around 30,000 to 40,000, but 70,000 is no shock.

I heard that 15,000 people had booked hotel rooms in vegas before they found out that only 3,500 tickets were being given to the, so there'll be 11,500 fight fans in vegas. That'll be fun...

When Liverpool played CL final in Athens last year. There were 150.000 tickets applications.

Brits are just loyal supporters. Like most europeans and south americans. They just live sport different and more passionate them Americans.
And Vegas is pretty cheap for europeans these times
