key punches- Floyd will seek to damage Hattons face with his slashing right while Hattons left hook has resulted in about 70% of his KOs. But Floyd may surprise by going to the body, an underestimated weakness perhaps.
With Floyd it will never be the matter of one punch. Otherwise De La Hoya would knock him out with the left hook.
If Hatton can't connect to the body he's screwed. His short little arms will make no impression on Mayweather's head. I'm really looking forward to the first few rounds of this fight in terms of whether Hatton will be able to bore inside and get at Mayweather, and whether Hatton can take Mayweather's body shots; which I don't he can for the whole fight.
Remember that Floyd just throws that sneaking right hand with the power impact when he is out of the distance, on his toes, steps in and out. If he stays in the center of the ring with the entire surface of the left foot pressing the canvas, he can only be first with the right shot using the rotating speed of his trunk against the speed of Hatton balancing his whole body to break in with the left hook. I suppose Floyd will use as much his fast jab and leading left hook to time Hatton coming in .
Hatton is definitely susceptible to the body. Tszyu put him down with a bodyshot (ref called it low, but that was clearly on the belt-line and Ricky didn't act like it was low) Urango hurt him to the body Collazo made him bend over a few times with body shots before landing a good headshot I think Mayweather could certainly take it to Hatton in the body then set up for headshots as the fight progresses. Either way, I don't think Hatton will be hard to hit. Tszyu said he wasn't hard to hit, just relentless and he got tired. I don't think Mayweather will get tired. Ricky's got a shot though. Let's just have a great fight.
I think Mayweather's right uppercut can be key. I expect Floyd to try to counter that left hook to the body by throwing a short right uppercut to Ricky's face, like he did to Jesus Chavez time and time again.
