Is Rickys win tonight the most definitive win of 2008. The only other big fight to challenge it is Hopkins Pavlik. the reason i say this is due to all the doubters before the malignaggi fight over hatton, how he has improved and what a dominating performance overall it was. Ricky I Salute you, you sure as hell proved a few points tonight and if any americans find any kind of excuses there mugs

Hopkins-Pavlik and Darchinyan-Mijares are more impressive.

Margarito's victory over Cotto was pretty definite.

    Not even close.

    Vic over Mijares
    Clazaghe over RJJ
    Hop over Pavlik
    Pac over Diaz

all world class fights completely dominated by 1 man

Pavlick and Maggie were both vastly overated, I think people are getting confused between world class boxer and decent American boxer.

Im afraid thats the nature of the beast mate. Boxing fans have favourites, favourites get beat and the fans come up with excuses to save face.

let's not over rate ricky's performance. He beat a one handed paper champ who everybody that knows boxing knew he would. Since most posters on ESB are chatroom rejects this makes hatton's "W" look spectacular. It wasn't. It was a solid win for a fighter just barely out of the top 10 p4p.

yeah but its a different kettle of fish, i agree with the hopkins pav, but so many doubts were hanging over rickys head, and to go back to the scene of the crime of last year and perform so well, so much better than he has since Tszyu IMO, is pretty good for his age and the way we all know he's treated his body in past years.

i think its a very god dam difinitive victory, easily one of the biggest of 2008

Pavlik is still the undisputed champ at middleweight. :patsch He is world class moron. So is Malignaggi. Hatton is just better.

I think Hatton deserves recognition more than Calzaghe here due to the knockdown...

i dont really know why the calzaghe vs jones jr is being bought into this, Malifaggi is ten tmes more a live opponent in the 140 division that RJJ is in the light heavys

It's been comical the last few months how the Limes, along w/ the wishful East Coasters, have bigged up Paulie as if this was going to be a close fight.
Didn't fool me for a second.
Ngoudou kicked Paulie's ass earlier this year, ffs.
    Thanks for the easy vcash!:happy

Ya its a good win no doubt... i dont think anyone but an ignorant hater or blind fringe follower would say otherwise... its a good win, but your saying MOST here... and so the answer can only be No

    IMO

    Hopkins vs Pavlik

lets say that fight didnt even happen

then it would STILL be a fight like
    Vic vs Mijares
