I am just trying to figure out Hattons gameplan for this fight and if he genuinely has a real chance of winning. Obviously Hatton and his trainer are not giving us the whole picture- will Hatton come in to the ring at 154? are they trying to bait floyd?
IF Hatton lands enough shots to win by decision then arguably he could also stop Floyd late on..I say IF

Floyd has only looked in trouble on a couple of occasions- Corley had him in trouble but could not capitalse- something that Hatton would do differently. In your oppinion does Hatton have the same punch power as Corley? If he does then Floyd is in trouble

Hatton has at least the same power but he just isnt that kind of fighter. Could he get Floyd in trouble? sure. The same way as Corley? no. And I think Floyd was never really in trouble. He was stunned sure, but not hurt enough to genuinelyl be a risk. Hatton was more hurt against Collazo and there's more chance of Floyd getting Hatton into the same kind of trouble he's been in in the past than Hatton has of getting Floyd in trouble.

Hatton has much more power then corley.

I agree that the 12th rd against Collazo is a worry. Especially as Hatton and trainer were saying before the fight how strong Hatton was feeling.
But I genuinly feel that Floyds only chance to stop Hatton is from closing an eye or cuts. Floyd is going to work on Hattons eyes from the opening bell...

BUT whatever the outcome, Hatton is going to surprise a few Floyd fans i promise

Hatton definitely has more power than Corley.

I think Floyd will make Hatton look a little foolish for a couple of rds...then Hatton will catch Floyd, and if he does indeed have more power than Corley then we will see Floyd genuinely hurt for the first time.. I guarantee it. As for the winner its going to be who has the biggest heart- i see Floyd at his most dangerous in the first 2 rds, working Hattons eyes, and possibly the late rds where he always seems to dominate.

I second that. You only have to look at Hatton's bulk, the impact of his hooks and volleys on his opponents - it's quite obvious.

Hatton has a strong beard but if Floyd can make DLH's legs buckle then he can cut Hatton's out from underneath him. Floyd has never been close to the kind of trouble that Hatton was in against Collazo in the 12th.

Hatton hasn't been bothered by cuts for a long time, cuts from punches that is. He got split open on Maussa's head sure but the bleeding stopped straight away. He has the best cut man there is.

Ive barely seen PBF take a deep breath, let alone be hurt in the ring. Floyd's biggest weakness is his hands and his achilles heel will be Hatton's head. If Floyd punches Ricky's cave man's forehead then he's going to be in a world of hurt.

Floyd can definitely hurt Hatton. People talk about Collazo not being a puncher but hurting Hatton. Yeah, he did, over 12 rounds of hitting the boy flush in the face. You feel a punch more after youve been hit with 150 of them. Hatton was exhausted by that point as well. Collazo didn't drop him with one punch or anything, he just exploited Hatton's **** poor defence to land on him all night. Floyd is more than capable of doing the same.

However, Collazo is a southpaw and Hatton's other 'worry' fight was against Magee, also a southpaw. Hatton can't fight slick southpaws! I think this is a trainer problem as before the Urango fight (also a southpaw, though slow and crude) Hatton is practicising on the pads and Billy Graham is in an ORTHODOX stance even though Hatton is going against a southpaw. That's just crazy and makes no tactical sense. Luckily, Floyd isnt a southpaw and any floyd fanboys expecting him to do a better Collazo job on Hatton are getting it all wrong.

    :rofl

Can PBF fight southpaw?? To be honest, I have only seen 3 or 4 of Floyds fights

Floyd covered up pretty well after getting hurt.

However, if Corley had gone hard to the body with Floyd on the ropes, and then gone upstairs, he could have really had Floyd in trouble.

Especially if he went to the body like that left hook above......

The real question should be if Hatton can hit Floyd with a shot he doesn't

see coming like Chop did. I'd have to say likely not, as he is a little more

    predictable.

He is definitely stronger, but not as quick or as tricky. It's much more

probable the Floyd stops Hatton and not the other way around. Floyd's

physical strength and power are underrated on these boards.

I will have to say however, the appointed ref has alot to do with the way

    this fight plays out.:deal
