Hopefully we will find some common ground in other debates. Hope you have a great Valentines evening too Mr Olu.
Glad to hear it. Some ladies say they are not interested in flowers, chocs and romantic dinners - but I'm not one of them!
I must confess I am in the doghouse with my lady as I forgot Valentine's day especially as I am abroad on business. Any way I am sending flowers and chocolates belatedly. I should be taking lessons from Jeff. Please just call me Olu not Mr Olu as that sounds rather formal. I think we have broken the ice so I look forward to more boxing interaction. I am looking forward to posts on Haye versus Macarrinelli as that is one that will split the nation. In my view both are vastly improved fighters. I think Haye is the sharper shooter and Enzo still has some vulnerability about him. Then of course there is Haye's struggles at the Cruiserweight weight limit. I guess it will be down as a 50-50 but I am making my pick now Haye by KO.
LOL My mrs would ban me from this forum if she knew it had come to this sort of flirtation. Elle if we had a romantic dinner I can see exactly how it would go- Elle: 'Well jeff you are looking extremely sexual this evening' Me: 'Why thank you- you look equally sexual- what would you like for starters' :smoke Elle: 'I'm going for the callamari- so do you do this often- casanova? Me: 'Not really but I used to be a bit of a lad when I was younger so i've still got the moves' :yep Elle:'Shame you didn't have the moves when you were beaten by Baz Carey':? Me: 'doh!' Elle: 'And you drew with Carl Allen':? Me: 'doh!':verysad Elle: 'I Wish you were Colin Lynes or Ajose':yep Me: 'Thanks- cya':bolt
Jeff - think you (& others) have got the wrong end of the stick here! There was me giving you some helpful advice from a female perspective by saying don't be fooled by ladies who say they are not interested in being wooed .... I just gave myself as an example. I can see from your idea of a romantic dinner that you may need some more tips .... Besides, you started all this remember: I was just repaying the gesture. Hope you and your missus had a nice evening forum buddy. :good
Hope you are out of the doghouse at home now Olu. Like you I'm also looking forward to the Haye v Maccarinelli fight - am sure there will be plenty of threads on that match up in the coming weeks. Hopefully it will live up to expectation. Both fighters share some strengths and weaknesses including vulnerability and power so it may be a case of which one lands well first. Then again, I think both have been down before and still gone on to win. Haye would also be my pick as he is more proven for me. Seems like we have found something we agree on - at last! Although I do tend to dig my heels in at times on this forum I genuinely love the sport and do mean well. :good
