The gifts get delivered tomorrow morning so I will know later tomorrow afternoon and let you know as I am on a flight in the morning.

I agree Haye is more proven and is the genuine linear champion after taking care of Mormeck. I think Macarinelli won the WBO title against Hobson who he had previously beaten. However I also think it is commendable that Macarinelli beat Dominguez and Braithwaite. I might be wrong but I think it boils down to Haye being able to absorb and come back from anything Macca dishes out and Macca not being able to take what Haye dishes out.

Also looking forward to Tayloe versus Pavlik where I believe anything can happen. I would not be surprised by a reversal but Pavlik is a very exciting fighter.

Hopefully the belated gifts will have done the trick Olu or I fear its the sofa for you!

Lets hope the Taylor v Pavlik rematch is as good as the last one. Pavlik's title isn't on the line but the stakes are still high for both.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised by a reversal either. Taylor's best chance is to try and take Pavlik out early but my prediction is that Pavlik will probably win again.

Boxing is very interesting. I remember predicting JT would defeat Hopkins to take the title however his career has not panned out the way it should have necessarily. Mind you had he stopped Pavlik in the second round last time it would be a differen story. This is not a fight were I route for either guy it is one I watch as a neutral.

if he's past prime then its because he can't take a loss, not because of his age, which means that he didn't waste his prime he would've had the same outcome when he stepped up anyways.

Btw i said before Hatton-PBF that without that ref he couldn't have beaten Kostya Tszyu. Even with a ref like Smoger who is a "hands off" type, KT would've won imo

agree with Pharoah. Wicky's level has not fluctuated, but the level of his opponents and the help from referees etc has changed. Thank **** Cortez did a good job in there, and Wikcy has the nerve to go on and on about how the ref stitched him up  , the guy is a joke. He had it lucky all that time with Mickey Vann and that fat Parris guy reffing his fights, letting him away with everything.

Well to be honest those of us who watched Ricky's rise through the ranks could see the errors in his game, but the "hype machine" saw fit to drawn out our words of wisdom (probably with that bloody "wonderland" song), he was ALWAYS lacking in defensive skills, he HARDLY used his jab and RARELY put slick combinations together, not to mention his lack of HEAD MOVEMENT, so in my humble opinion he was an accident waiting to happen, the writing was on the wall against Collazo and Floyd just pretty much took that wall and showed the world exactly what was written,

And Olu my friend!!, how is our boy Ajose doing man? :happy , i know he had a win the other day but i was too busy to watch it, i've heard it wasn't too convincing!!?, let me know the deal and what his next move is likely to be,

And may i add i never knew ladies were frequenting the area!!, i may have to visit this forum more often!!

Hey, they don't call me "smooth" for nothing :yep

Anyone who answers yes to this thread will sadly have to say the same about Joe Calzaghe.

Hello Skills So Smooth. Once again your analysis on Ricky Hatton is spot on in my opinion.

As Ajose Olusegun what can I say other than we did it again and we are now 22-0 and number 7 in the WBC rankings as the undefeated and undisputed Nigerian, West African, African Boxing Union and Commonwealth Light Welterweight champion of the world. The pursuit of greatness continues and we are willing to take on anyone to win the World title.

Yes the performance against Nigel Wright was not great to be frank and was the worst performance of Ajose's career. However there were reasons for this due to lack of proper preparation and actually underestimating Wright. We had only 3 weeks to prepare having gone home to Nigeria for the Xmas holidays and New Year only to get back to the UK to find out the fight was as in 3 weeks. However we refused to pull out and took a calculated gamble because we don't want to back out of contests they way some other fighters do. We could only get into 2 sparring sessions with an amatuer for that matter that could only do 4 rounds the first session and 3 rounds the next. The timing was off so we had to change tactics during the contest at about the halfway mark and made it more physical hurting Wright to the body and slowed him down. However we must give Wright credit for taking his medicine like a man and he has gone up in our estimation as a gallant and valiant warrior who can take a shot.
