Mayweather and the ring buckle took away Hatton's punch resistance

But they also hit him much harder than Magee, but only he had Hatton in terrible trouble before the ref moved into break them up....

I wonder if he does the weight training on his legs now keery kays is it? Does not train him anymore. He us to lift a shedload of weights on his legs before fights. If he has cut this out and he wants to carry on fighting id advise him to do leg weights again

Tszyu hit Hatton with the whole street and Hatton did eat them as they say.
I can only put it down to ( his resistance demise) :
weight ballooning ( according to those that know it does have a bif effect on the body )
lack of hunger - the man is rich - he doesn't need ' two more til the pay day '.
    age - natural
drink - anyone here who has drank for the last 10 years - you reckon you can fight like you could 10 years ago - 28 year olds + ? .
    Damage - Tszyu et co..

He done well with what he had - he fought with his face like Gatti - it couldn't go on forever - but for plastic surgery it wouldn't have lasted this long.

Either way - we all (most ) enjoyed it - i hope he retires - he will be missed that's nailed on.

Where do you find a comparison between Pac and Magee? Other than both being human and southpaws the comparison ends there. Pac hit Hatton accurately consistently and on the button. Magee through one right hook dropped him badly and then stayed in the corner for the rest of the fight and got outworked. Wheres the similarity? Theres nothing wrong with Hattons chin. His defense has always been bad. It was exacerbated even more because Pac was in the other corner. Thats what happens when you fight top quality opposition.

Tszyu hit Hatton with huge shots, but he knew they were coming.

He knew nothing about the shots that finished him against PBF and Manny Pac. The same thing happened against Magee, which was earlier in his career. I don't think his punch resistance is all that bad, he just can't deal with hard punching sharpshooters.

maybe hatton's resistance has diminished but, the power that hit him from pacman was too much to handle even to the prime hatton. before the fight moorer, roach assistant had opined that pq power is like a heavy weight.

:thumbsupKostya hit Hatton from 2mm infront of him. Hatton smothered most of the punches he threw and was rarely hit cleanly. Plus Kostya isnt as big a puncher as Pac.:thumbsup

Im curious, just how many times has a ref intervened when Rick was in trouble as in Dazed and the ref steps in or a nockdowns ruled a slip ....seems Ive seen gloves being checked after Ricks about to go ........this is the stuff that has always made me skeptical about Hatton.

Rafael and Betty are MASSIVE Hatton haters.

I don't think it's too dissimilar to the Roy Jones chin debate; wight fluctuation in between fights causing his body to weaken and his punch resistance to diminish.

At the end of the day, iron chin or china chin, Hatton has a fairly good resume, and has only two losses to the top P4P at that time.

Betty's main man James Toney (who I'm a massive admirer of) was given a gift over Fres Oquendo :rofl
