Ricky Hatton has confirmed his trainer as Bob Shannon,

The last thing Hatton needs at 33 coming back off a long lay off is another Billy Graham type trainer . Which will be just a full on body bag and weights session , with very little technique being taught.

Hatton needs a boxing lesson , even as bad as his days with Snr were in the Pacquiao fight you could see the work they had done in the Malignaggi fight.

Body bag work outs for me are completely useless unless you combine this with good pad work and Snr confirmed that Hatton couldnt do pads.

Lifting weights - at 33 this will only slow Hatton down.

Look for Hatton to look great in training . Look ripped at 147 , but this isnt body building.

Hatton will look shocking come 24 November.

    peace.

Billy Graham was the perfect trainer for Hatton

Hatton won't learn anything now. He just needs to do what he did before Floyd Sr, who is a **** trainer anyway. A good trainer also knows his fighter's limits and doesn't try to teach him things overnight.

Sr's padwork is terrible, all that speed, tippy-tappy stuff is largely a waste of time.

Ive heard its Ndou or Urango.

I think Ndou is safer , but he isnt a world class fighter anymore and this is the level Hatton said he would fight at so who knows.

yeah definitely safer and hatton would be the favorite even with his unknown condition. but both i think are safe fights for hatton assuming he got to at least 60% of when he dismantled malignaggi.

    Disagree Ray.

Shannon will get him into spartan shape, I think that's what's most important. Ricky's will is going to be more important than his skill, in determining how this come back will go.
