They are also the only 2 top quality opponents in their prime Hatton ever fought and lets be honest here he wasn`t competitive in either fight.

Yeah, Collazo gifted the fight to Hatton really. It was the 11th that he had off, allowing Hatton to steal it - he had Ricky all but KO'd in the last at one point, maybe two more big ones and the ref would have stepped in.

Hatton recovered pretty quickly though to finish the fight on steady legs with a clear head.

Against Urango he boxed really well for about five rounds, then got hit with a body shot, it took a lot out of him and he fought a Ruiz-like fight for the remainder of the bout.

Urango was pretty handy with his head though.....

He said he had a virus......

But he said he had a virus for the Lazcano fight, but went ahead with it for his fans, and was winning the 2nd round against Pacquiao.

Not sure whether I believe anything he has ever said after that remark, to be honest :-(

Case closed, Ricky was world class but both Pac and Floyd are ATG's, there is a massive difference between World Class and ATG. People forget that

He did look **** in in the week before the Urango fight (sidenote the venue was shite), more so than usual. Against Collazo he went up in weight at pretty short notice, not that much he'd just started the taking off weight part of camp.

What will you do when Ricky is gone for good as a fighter? My bet is you'll start hating on Mitchell.

Exactly and Ricky wanted try his hand against each of them ATG that says a lot about the man. He was scared of Witter but fought Floyd and Pac, some people need to grow up.

In fairness no sensible person who saw that interview took it seriously. Ricky was legless. People can talk about punch drunk all the like Rick was pretty much regular drunk that night

    True......

He has turned into a bit of a Billy Bullshitter over the past couple of years though..... not sure whether he has always been like that though.

Good win. Collazo was too. Hatton was never an elite fighter, he got the mega fights partly because of his support

He was a good solid world champ though and we don't get many
