I think everyone is walking on egg shells to not **** floyd off and cause him to walk.

The money he represents is insane.

I tend to agree with you. I think they did contact them. I also think that FMJ was explicit in what he would even look at. When Ellerbe and company saw what Arum's "starting point" was they said, "Please... Off to vacation!" To which Arum probably did some strange "respond to the silence counter offer" because he didn't get a bite. Then he still heard nothing and decided to regain his dignity and reassure Pac with this nonsense.

Now is that negotiations? Depends on your perspective.

Yeah, look at arum turn on his previous assessments of floyd.

He found out calling him a coward meant nothing. So now he is sweet talking him.

He will make more money off a pac/may fight than probably pacquiao's next 2 fights combined without floyd.

And think.... if he gets a rematch clause? And the fight is close? Arum will make so many millions of dollars it will make all of us sick.

I really don't see may/cotto. I also see this as Pac's last fight. I think he is going to find out that being an elected official will take more from him than he expects. I think it is Arum's pipe dream that he comes back and nothing more.

Arum believed at one point that de la Hoya were not part of the negotiation. In short, GBP was booted out. That could have paved the way for Floyd to get his 60/40 share.

The offer on the table is 50/50 but with promoters fees and everything, Floyd will get more because he will not have to pay GBP.

If he has a contract with GBP they make their cut. Period. That is why they have the contract.

If ever may/cotto materializes, Arum should force Mayweather to sign another contract that if he and Pac wins, Mayweather cannot take a vacation to duck Pac.
