WBA is so corrupt, this guy has'nt fought for 19 mths. And the new regular champ have to face him within 120 days. 5 years ago he was smashed by Mads Larsen only 4 weeks after he (Larsen) fought Ottke. Since then he lost to Markussen and have'nt done much ever since really, no matter who wins tonight, it's a waste of time for the new champ to face Haussler. F**K WBA
I agree. I think that should Kessler win tonight, he should rather relinquish the title and fight a top name instead of fighting Haussler - completely pointless fight. At the least the WBA could have made an eliminator between Haussler and maybe Miranda. Don`t see how Haussler has earned a shot at the title. Why didn`t the WBA order him to fight Kessler for the title to begin with instead of Sartison?
you sure 19 months. i remember watching the hausler v sannavia 2 and it fresh in my mind. surely that was not 19 months ago. i said in another post though kessler v haussler is not all bad will get 10 million german and danish tv watchers , free to danish tv so more to watch and increase his profile and good exposure. look at recent american fights only a few hundred thousand people actually watching which is a waste of time if you are talking about exposure.
This fight is a complete waste of time, Haussler's promoters are only pushing for it to happen for the step-aside money. If the fight occurs then Kessler will annhiliate him and then hopefully move on to bigger & better things. All this fight does is hold up potential matchups with Taylor, Pavlik etc.
his promoter is german and HAS PAID SANCTIONING BODIES MONEY TO RANK HIS FIGHTERS before!!!!!!!!!! that is the reason why!
Haussler because he is with a very powerful promoter (Sauerland), who seems to have his way with the WBA. Sauerland tried to get a shot at the IBF against Bute, for Haussler, in exchange for letting Berrio come to Montreal for the title fight. Bute got injured so he couldn't defend his title voluntarily - he'd have had to go against Haussler...later people said Mads Larsen... ...so now, Haussler, who was beaten by Sanavia but got a gift (called a draw) - the same Sanavia who was robbed against Murat - another German-based fighter promoted by Sauerland...:yep ...gets a title shot! ...surprise, surprise...
And no mention of their own #2 ranked, Edison Miranda isn't in the title mix? Corrupt? Joke? Whatever. Yes, lots have people have slammed me saying Edison shouldn't even be number 2, but the fact is that IS where the WBA has him. And the same people say Kessler is justified in pulling out of the Miranda fight for this "title". PLEASE....................
