That stuff happens all the time in sparring. Would be interesting though, no doubt.

I agree a Briggs vs Mundine fight would be alot bigger than a Hamden or Sammy v Choc fight.

You would get the bogans who dont watch boxing rooting for Paul.

I think it's a great fight and my honest pick would be Mundine via wide UD.

I have Mundine on UD with him having to whether some tense moments towards the start and end of the bout.

The last round i could imagine would have Briggs throwing everthing including the kitchen sink.

Watched Briggsy's last fight on the Rabah - Ndou undercard and Briggsy was having some problems at the time physically .

He injured his neck in training and thats why he and Sakio Bika swapped opponents , he was also starting to have the much publicised adrenaline issues and problems with his nervous system .

So he wasnt washed up , just injured and he should of really pulled out of that fight .

I have concerns if he comes back not at 100% but i honestly believe he loves his wife and kids that much he woldnt jeopardise his health coming back at anything less .

The only problem i see is him making the weight .

Briggs showed against Adamek that Adamek was much more technical and Briggs seemed suseptible to this and thus Adamek racked up the rounds and got the decision both times .

I dont think Mundine is as good a boxer technically ( using angles , etc ) but is alot quicker than adamek .

No one has really tested mundine's chin however ive seen many of Paul Briggs fights and seen the power he pocesses .

I think Mundine is on the decline a little , against Hamdan i felt he wasnt as sharp and got caught with a few shots that had it been a kessler or calzaghe ( possibly a briggs) it could have been lights out .

Im told Briggs has got the spark back and was disenchanted with the fight game but now a new start has freshened him up and he is enjoying life again up on the gold coast .

Tentative as Briggs has been in recent times, I reckon this renewed vigure would see him give Mundine a hell of a scare for periods during the fight. But If he doesnt KO Mundine I reckon it would be a pretty clear decision for the mouth.

Style wise Green would def be a better match up for him. I'd love to see either to come off, but I recently watched Briggs last fight and he was just plain shithouse, he'll need to train the house down.

Briggsy is 98% over his ailments and should be 100% soon
Mundine's name has been mentioned but only because that gets the publicity there are other names for title fights being mentioned as well but everyone is on the boards are talking choc.
Dont be surprised if he doesn't fight choc and fights for a world title OS
His heart is in it 100%

I think it's fair to say that even the most optimistic Briggs fans would have to be somewhat doubtful that Briggs could bring his top game to the table if he continues to fight on.

Making 168 also adds to the uncertainty too. He was mentioned as a possible Calzaghe opponent before but said he couldn't make 168, though that was when he knew he'd have another shot at Adamek so make from that what you'd like.

He shouldn't have fought during his most recent fight. From what I've heard, he had a neck injury and was going to cancel, but he was a big headline for the card that night so instead he swapped opponents with Bika.

If Briggs can bring his 'A' game, I'd give him a chance against Mundine. He always seems to land on his opponent, and if he did against Mundine, it could make the fight very interesting.

As I said in another thread, if this fight came off, I'd definitely be watching it. I'd love to see Briggs win a WT, but I wouldn't fancy his chances. Would still be good to see him pick up a good half a mill though.
