The argument that American heavyweights are not as hungry now because they come from middle class backgrounds, is ridiculous!.......The Klitschko brothers were raised in a middle class family. It didn't stop them becoming champions.

 

All the propaganda against Euro fighters makes my want to puke. Atlas lies about Euro fighters all the time, he always picks Vlad to lose any fight he has. Atlas picked Kirk Johnson to knock Vitali out with one punch, but Vitali took care of Johnson by knockout in the second round. Eastern European fighters are not only hungry they are good and well trained. Teddy Atlas and Max Kellerman, well, and so many others are still angry that Vlad won the gold medal in 1996.

 

Nah, Calvin Brock fought bravely, frustrated Wlad for several rounds
and attacked as best he could. He got knocked out and went out
on his shield as did Thompson. Brewster did quit in his corner after
a bad beating but was legitimately worried about going blind. Sykes
was a disgrace and Rahman is a senior citizen. I think the Americans
will get some tough, durable and hopefully talented fighters in the
future and begin once again to challenge for titles. Everything is
cyclical.
