    Top 20 Heavyweight ATG list*
I would rank Vitaliy 14th on ATG list, while wlad is a fight away against Haye to appear on the end of the list. What do you think?

    can you explain why?

Vitaliy is more of a complete fighter than wlad will ever be. Granite chin, superb defence, heavy accurate punches (especially in prime), great stamina etc

Typical totally moronic thread that clutters up all these boxing forums and makes me think that many of the posters are twelve year old ******s.

    And is that their fault?
The fact that Lewis chickened out by refusing to give Vitaliy a rematch fooled people into believing that Lewis is a better fighter. The cut had really saved lewis, vitaliy had no chance after the damage was done. He couldnt even see much.

I believe Lennox was overrated and therefore does not belong in top 5 ATG list

I think Vitali more so that Wlad, but probably, yes.

    Ali
    Louis
    Holmes
    Marciano
    Foreman
    Tyson
    Lewis
    Jack Johnson
    Jeffries
    Sullivan
    Schmeling
    Frazier
    Langford
    Holyfield

after them, you have an argument.

    Then there are guys like:
    Patterson
    Norton
    Charles
Dempsey (Got em on here b/c personally I dont rank him very highly...just my opinion)

Yet Wlad trumps him in achievements: fought and beat many more ranked contenders, won more major titles, unified, more title defenses.

A late start and bad luck injuries have held Vitali back. As of now, I wouldn't put him that much higher than other strong belt holders like Ruiz or Byrd.

by how they perform in the ring as an ATG fighter :good
clearly ATG fighter would make an average professional boxer look like an amateur and thats what K2s are doing. They make heavyweight division look like a complete joke.

Vitali fought neck and neck with an ATG and was never humiliated like Wlad. Vitali's recent run has been great, and I will always hold him higher than Wlad. Look at their mutual opponents too- Peter, Byrd, Sanders...Additionally, I think Vitali matches up better head to head against past greats.

If Wlad reigns for another 4 or 5 yrs and pounds absolutely everybody he can be in the top 10 just thru longevity

Way too early to decide. Let's see if they can finish their careers without further losses, then we wait a few years to analyze their legacy and then we will rank them properly.

Ranking fighters while they're active has been a waste of time.
