Got another fight in September, same place, the guy I'm fighting is probably going to be quite wild but he's a well built power puncher, not just a feather fisted brawler. Won't be any clowning there....that fight was just a joke. Ps, he retired after that fight....:thumbsup
Fought a guy once, it got abitty ill natured as he wrestled and held. So I did the drop the hands and bang the gloves together and wave him on routine.
I would have lost all respect for you as a poster if you got hit with one of them shots. It was like he had never been trained before. Favourite part was when he missed a wild shot and turned round and walked away you left him for some reason and the ref gave him a count.
Now thinking back i have taunted guys a lot. It wasnt quite boxing but i pissed some guys really off. Used to do Judo for about 7 years and i can easily say i learned a few thing cos mostly the other guys were twice my size and they loved to torture me. Have you ever been held in a arm-bar for nearly half an hour. That sucks. I used to smile a lot and that pissed many many dudes off.
4:56 rofl You got him back interested in the fight by getting him angry there, kinda backfired! Dodged his haymakers nicely though, good stuff
I try not to clown around with people, but a lot of the tricks or feints I use can be construed as clowning. The closest I come to real clowning is letting guys hit me. I dropped my hands in a fight and took 3 unanswered shots because I couldn't be bothered to defend myself. Not the best strategy for an amateur lol--there goes 3 points. I used to lay back on the ropes and not fire back, basically because it's fun...but it's just giving away points so now I prefer to put the other guy on the ropes and not let him punch back
I fought this one kid 4 times and beat the living hell out of him everytime. He was a short brawler that would come forward winging wild punches with the intent to take my head off so I just jabbed and counter-punched the crap out of him. anyway, in our 4th fight as they were introducing him he walked to the center of the ring and started flexing his biceps and kissing them :rofl and doing the throat-slitting gesture so I did it back because it pissed me off and as a result, took me off my game to box so I got pulled in to fighting his fight and the fight would go like this: he'd throw 3-4 punches, back off and do a stupid shuffle or stick his chin out again, I'd throw 3-4 back and do the same. Back and forth. The ref warned us the first 2 times but after that he just literally gave up. After the fight my trainer ripped me apart for "fighting so stupidly" but as a result both of us got fight of the night award :yep:yep
