Yeah that's true - much better opportunities in Germany than in the Balkans or east Europe.

Even the bulk of successful German non-ethnic nationals are naturalized (like Hernandez, Stieglitz, Abraham, Murat, Graf, Aydin, Arslan, Culcay, Huck, Krasniqi, Charr, Dimitrenko, Airich, Gerber, Sartison, Tajbert) as opposed to born on German soil (Sturm).

If you filter it down to boxers who are German-born and ethnically German (or one or the other), there are precious few of any renown - now or in recent history.

Contrasting with the USA, of course it's ethnically a giant melting pot here and always has been (there's no such ethnicity as "American") - but nearly all our successful boxers that are based here, with a few rare exceptions like Adamek, Kayode and Gradovich, were at least born here.

Germany has far more imports than nearly any other country.

Yeah that nuturalisation of foreign nationals seems to be distinctly German in the sport of boxing.

The practice is by no means exclusive to Germany, but it's a staggering rate compared to anywhere else.

Axel Schultz and Henry Maske, are the only two that I can think of. Maybe Timo Hoffmann.

Yeah, exactly, you have to go back a whole generation before you even run out of fingers to count on.

Stieglitz is a German who was born in Russia.
Kostya Tsuyou is half Korean and half Russian.

Golovkin is from Kazakhstan, not Russia. His father is Russian (I mean ethnic origin). His mother is Korean. GGG's parents are from Kazakhstan also.

Provodnikov (Mari), Abdusalamov (Caucasian-Dagestani), Allahverdiev (Caucasian-Dagestani), Gradovich (Polak or Byelorussian) and Kovalev (idk, but sounds out of Russian).
    Dytchko is Ukrainian from Kazakhstan.
    Chagaev is Tartar from Uzbekistan.

Also tie in the fact that their boxers arent called by their birth names

    Marco Huck - Muamer Hukic
Felix Sturm - Adnan Catic (as mentioned before me)
Arthur Abraham - Avetik Abrahamyan (Արթուր Աբրահամ in Armenian)
    Wladimir Klitschko - Volodymyr Klychko
    Robert Stielglitz - Sergey Shtikhlits

Ive had quite a laugh looking up these guys original names

    Adonis Stevenson - Hatian
    Jean Pascal - Hatian
    Lennox Lewis - English
    Tros Ross - Guyana
    Bermane Stiverne - Hatian
    Trevor Berbick - Jamaican

    Oh yeah, true.

Joachim Alcine is another Haitian, and so is unbeaten light welterweight Dierry Jean and Pascal's brother Nicholson Poulard.

Lucian Bute is Romanian, as is Jo Jo Dan.

    Usmanee is Afghan.

    Laham is Lebanese.

They have a few quality dyed-in-the-wool Canucks: Bizier, Cote, McGuinness, and Zewski. Plus Lemieux and Molitor as far as halfway decent "names". That's abooot it.

Sorry but I have to say that you have no clue about gman boxing and boxers...
There is too much wrong information in your post.:patsch
And the most shining hope are not Dustin Dirks or Robert Woge:patsch
Also to say that a person who is born outside germany is pretty old scholl and does not fit to this global world.
After your logic I am also not german....

    What information is wrong?

    "YPH - Cuban.
    Stieglitz - Russian
    Abraham/Murat/Graf - Armenian
    Aydin/Arslan - Turkish
    Culcay - Ecuadorian
Huck/Krasniqi/Sturm - Serb/Bosniak (Sturm was born in Germany but is ethnically 100% non-German, I believe)
    Charr - Lebanese
    Dimitrenko - Ukrainian
    Airich/Gerber/Sartison/Tajbert - Kazakh

...except for Sturm, all born outside Germany. "

I already acknowledged Adnan Catic, ethnic Bosniak, born in Germany. It turns out I was wrong about Arslan. He is German-born but of Turkish descent.

What else is factually inaccurate? Were the rest of those listed not born elsewhere? Does that list not comprise the bulk of Germany's current pool of pro talent?

So what? That doesn't make what I said factually inaccurate. I wasn't "this is a list of people who don't have so much as a trace of German blood". That was a list of boxers who were born outside Germany.

Harkening back to an earlier post, if you want to discuss boxers who are of German ethnic stock AND born there, it's a fairly small circle of overlap.

You're trying to have your cake and eat it, too. We're talking about one thing at a time here. Try and follow along. Read more slowly and carefully.

You say Stieglitz is russian... In fact he is a enthnic german who was just born in russia! There are many germans who live in russia. Also Airich and Gerber are ethnic german!
I really dont see what your point is... Germany has many many imigrants! Also just because a person is not born in germany or ist not "ethnic" german this means not that he cant be german! Who are you to decide that a person is german or not just because he was not born here or is not ethnic german! I have lebanese parents... But I am german! Altough I am not an ethnic german! Strange huh?
Also Culcay... he has a german mother and lived since his 4 birthday in germany. Man he even was in the german army... so is he german or ecuadorian?

Also whats up with fighters from your country... there is no ethnic american at all! In fact all ethnic european or african:lol:

But I really dont get this topic... talking about race or birth and then trying to make answers about natianality is a dumb thing to do. especially when whe talk about a country like germany!

Also you dont know how many "ethnic" german talents we have. But YEAH! A TRUE GERMAN HAS TO BE BORN IN GERMANY AND HAS TO BE ETHNIC GERMAN!!!
Damn I am no german then...
