I have been following this young contender and I really enjoy watching him fight, he has power, speed, chin I think he has the talent to become someone on a future, he is still very young (18) and he is green in his defense but I think he could learn, the fight that i would recommend you to watch is el Canelo vs Euri Gonzales, Euri was undefeated at that time, and I thought that fight was gonna be a really hard test for alvarez, euri is a good fighter, i thought it was pretty even which it was, a very good fight from both sides, you people should watch it and tell me what you think about el canelo, just you tube "Canelo Alvarez" and go to " Euri Gonzales vs Saul Canelo Alvarez Part 1, 2, 3 etc." Well thats it, tell me what you think, saul is fighting tonight by the way...
I have heard a little bit about him. Most reports indicate that he's an impressive looking prospect, especially considering his youth. Mexico is in need of young talent to step up and replace the remnants of the current generation of its top fighters, i.e., the Marquez brothers, Margarito, and Vazquez. Along with Abner Mares, he seems like one to keep a definite eye on. Thanks for recommending a particular fight to start with.

Saw the fight a few minutes ago. Impressive.Clinical and what impressed me was the nice barrage of punches,from the start of teh fight and to end the show in 9th stanza.
