K2 beat no hall of famers , atgs or even p4p rankers during their time in the worst HW era known to mankind.

 

Wladimir having a better shot than Vitali but probably not many would make it on to the HOF for either.

 

Haye, Rahman, Byrd and Adamek should at least see ballots, and I think the first three have good odds of making it. Povetkin probably won’t due to the PEDs and camping out in Russia during most of his best years. These guys have all been retired for awhile though so I could be wildly off base.

 

Adamek is a two division champ and former top 5er at heavyweight.

He should make it in a fair world.

 

I'm a "big hall" guy and I don't see how on earth he should make it.

Points against his case

1)Adamek has 2 alphabet defenses at LHW and 2 defenses at CW.
2)At HW Adamek held the 3rd and 5th most prestigious regional titles in North America and the Polish HW title.
3)Adamek lost to 6 of his 10 best opponents and they were not an amazing best 10 opponents. Most of the losses were not close.
4)He beat 1 Wlad opponent in Eddie Chambers which is his best win. I like Eddie Chambers and think hes underrated but its one win.
5)He fought 3 of Wilders worst 4 title opponents and went 1-2 with a close win.
6)Lost to Dawson and Vitali which were the only two times he really sniffed contention outside of CW.
7)Adamek is not small enough to get P4P credit for winning a regional title at HW.

The Ring overrated the weak WBC champs and contenders of this era to a massive degree. He made the HW Ring top 10 4 times and the LHW one twice. Not exactly historic stuff.

 

A lot of your argument isn't relevant. He fell off after 2012 and was deep into his career by then. Also, his win over Arreola was better than Chambers, who hurt his arm.

He was Ring champion at cruiser. There are plenty of worse guys who have been inducted.

 

David Haye should get into the hall, based on his accomplishments at cruiserweight.

It would be hard to argue against that pick to be honest.

Mormeck should get in by the same logic.

Hassim Rahman should probably be in, based on some of the lineal champions from the 30s who are in.

You could make a case for Shannon Briggs based on the same logic, but I probably wouldn't.

You could make a case for Chris Byrd, but it woudl require some out of the box logic, that he was never fighting in his natural weight class.
