Have Froch, Kessler, and Abe just been "off" in the Super 6?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by LordSharpshire, Nov 21, 2009.

  1. Because I haven't seen anything remotely impressive about any of them. Abe looks to be a counter-puncher's wet dream; he seems to tire easily and holds his hands down WAY too much; and he's very inactive.

Froch just looks like a larger version of Carlos Maussa.

And Kessler, while looking better than the aforementioned, looked completely overwhelmed by Ward tonight. He damn near looked as though he didn't even belong in the ring with Andre.

Do these three Euros have anything better to offer 'cause I'm not buying what they're currently selling.

Abraham was very impressive. Froch was off, but Dirrell refused to fight, he just ran, held, complained and fell down on canvas.

As far as Euros go, let Ward fight Vitali Klitschko next. Let's see Ward head butt Vitali.

You do realise they've won 2 out of 3 so far don't you? Including a brutal knoclout of one of your beloved yanks. How impressive is that? to get knocked unconscious by an "unimpressive" fighter.

  4. You were impressed with Abe? Like, seriously?

Please enlighten me/us why you were NOT impressed with AA? I am one of the biggest AA supporters and thought he fought FLAWLESSLY. Never seen him use his jab as good as he did, NEVER seen him apply his body attack as good as he did, and NEVER seen him block so many punches as good as he did, actually never seen him as accurate as he was. If you are not impressed with AA's showing against JT you need to watch another sport.

  6. We all know Froch didn't win that fight. Bad decisions are part of boxing. And, as far as Abe looking good against JT, well, he didn't. Yes, he got the KO win, but, he looked pretty horrendous getting it. And, this wasn't a USA vs. Euro thread, really. I'm just very unimpressed with the Euro's in this tourney thus far. I've seen very, very little to like.

REMIND ME NOT TO TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY ANYMORE:deal. IT IS ONE THING TO BE CRITICAL BUT LOOKING "HORRENDOUS" and totally dominating a fight in most opinions? I wonder how he would look if he was not horrendous? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

  9. Therefore, you are certainly being objective, right? If you believe AA fought flawlessly, you need to watch another sport.

Abraham was impressive. He outpointed Taylor and then almost killed him to put the exclamation point on the victory.

Froch and Kessler, not so much.

Please point out what was horrendous? I can't wait!:rofl

  12. Look, AA Fanboy, your opinion is moot on this thread because you've already showed your biased towards Abe. He didn't dominate that fight whatsoever.

Abraham is good fighter, very quick. It will be difficult to head butt him with his style.

  14. Not engaging for most of the fight. Just sitting right in front of JT while JT threw the jab. He got tired WAY too soon in this fight and was fighting with his hands down for a good portion of the fight. And, when he was throwing, he was missing a whole lot more than he was connecting. In short, he looked sub-par to put it lightly. I give him full credit for the KO; can't take that away from him. But, to say that he was dominating this fight and looked good while doing so BEFORE the KO happened, well, that simply is untrue.
