I honestly don't think they've been gracious enough.

The best time to gauge a fighter's humbleness and respect, is immediately after the loss. And when you look at their immediate reactions, we saw Haye harping on about his little toe and his disrupted ring entrance, whilst Booth verbally attacked the referee. Comments like "If he can't even knock me out with one leg, what's he going to do if I have both?" aren't gracious.

It was only when they had time to digest their post-fight comments and realize how bitter they came across, they started acting more respectful.

Using the broken toe excuse eliminates the term 'gracious'. Whether they have been more respectful in the days since or not.

Booth has been gracious, but then he wasn't a complete dickhead in the pre-fight build up.

Surprisingly to me Booth was quite classy about it all.
    Haye remains a douchebag.

Booth has been OK, Haye has been a *****.

These past few years he really has turned into something else. I think Jim Watt said it best (during the 10 minute delay for his ring entrance) If he wins, none of this will matter. (regarding all of his pre fight hoopla)

    But he lost

I could have dealt with him not even giving a post fight interview or standing there retracting standing there saying Klitscho's a great fighter etc….. but he decided to blame it on an injury. he didnt even leave it at 'my foot was bad and hampering me' he actually said he coud SEE the shot but just couldnt push off to throw it because of his toe..

Its sad because he is a very talented fighter but if he retires now he will become forgotten very soon.

Imagine that, unifying the cruiserweight division, becoming britains 7th heavyweight world champion and know one cares !

    done it to himself though

I would say no they weren't gracious. If they were - the toe wouldn't have been mentioned.
What endeared Kessler to me was the manner in which he accepted his defeat to Calzaghe. Haye endeared no one to him by going on about the toe.

I think they have. Both have said numerous times that the better man won and that his injury wasnt the deciding factor in the result. Haye also said he couldn't back up his talk.

    What else should they say?

Dont see what is wrong with asking for a rematch, he just wants a shot at redemption, he admitted it was upto Wlad if he got the call so i wouldnt say that was disrespectful probably just hopeful. He has admitted that Wlad was a better fighter than himself as well. He has been far more gracious in defeat than what Wlad has been in victory, which is a little ironic seeing as Wlad fans main problem with Haye was a lack of respect towards a fellow fighter.

It's all damage limitation after toe-gate.

They're not going to be remembered as being gracious after this defeat, all anyone's gonna remember is Haye bitching on about his toe.

Yes, yes they have have been very gracious in defeat after the toe debacle that is, which was shockingly bad.

It's actually Wlad now being ungracious in victory:yikes with his YouTube videos.
