I have Khan down as fast and with heart.

I feel he is poor technically when compared to other elites. He has talked about 'ring IQ' will win him the fight against Canelo and he will follow 'Mayweather's blueprint' - but these are not his strong points. In fact, probably his weakest points.

When I think of Khan I think of him being careless, jumping in and actually having poor boxing IQ.

And then of course - there is his inability to take power shots and letting power shots land.

    BUT

For some strange reason - I am rooting for him to win.

I look at his training camp and I see he has put on the muscle and size, and is getting ready - I'm starting to think the world will be surprised and we will see a new fighter who CAN take a punch.

This rooting, has turned into thinking he actually might have a chance.

Is speed enough? If he has even kept it going up in weight.

I would be interested to know if there are others here who have moved from "he has NO CHANCE IN HELL - HELLO BAMBY LEGS AGAIN" to "he could win..." and whats changed your mind?

I think Canelo's a better boxer than him if anything too, the only thing he has going for him is speed.

And no, size, chin, power, skills > speed.

    Khan has 0 chance
As fights come closer we tend to change our mind
Remember the feeling when the fight was signed
Khan would lose to Canelo 100 out of 100 times

People confuse Khan's speed for skills.

    Khan makes amateur mistakes.

This and his chin has been dented for good.
Any decent shot gets him flustered. Alvarez needs to land only one good shot to throw Khans momentum.
And Alvarez has some nice defencive moves that will nullify Khans speed at times.

    no.

khan could actually potshot canelo all night if he just had a fluidity with his movements.

Khan has 0 chance, he doesn't have the chin for 147 let alone 155.

Yeah.... If Canelo drops dead in the middle of his walking down and pummeling of Khan.

Khan is a professional amateur. his legs are his defense and he is unable to contain himself under pressure.

His only chance to win is if Canelo will drain himself to a point that he will throw 8 punches a round. it will be enough for the judges to score it for him, but won't be enough to knock khan out.

I think he has a decent chance to out score if he's smart about it

I usually like giving the under dogs more chance than they get and I generally always give some the benefit of the doubt. But khan has maybe a 5% chance here. His biggest hope is that canelos stamina problems arise again.

The first part of the OP is spot on. As for the rest, I suspect about 10 minutes into the fight we will see it is wrong

Betting Canelo to win by ko, which was 4/7 last I checked, is like buying money.
