Well time will tell - but according to himself he is stronger than ever :)

One thing is for sure - the boxers that recover proberbly from a loss learn a lot from it than from a victory.

One good sign is that Kessler admitted defeat right away - no lame "Hopkins-exuses" -

he got beat by the best in his devision yes it will hurt a bit but i do not think it will do that much damage.

Lacy was put to shame his corner should have pulled him out of there at 7/8. lacy though he was the best and got brutalized then everyone saying he was ****. nobody done that with kessler he held his own and should come back stronger

I think Kessler is a mentally shot fighter, but this opinion isn't based on his comeback opponent. The guy was basically outboxed by Calzaghe, so you can bet that he has been working on new things in the gym to enhance his ability. And you need an opponent to test out what you are working on - and this opponent fits the bill.

The problem is that after this fight, it will become apparent that Kessler isn't all there in terms of belief anymore.

Hopkins actually admitted he lost. It just wasn't to Calzaghe. I suppose he meant he lost against the refs. Way to go Hopkins you old toothless Pirate!!!!!:nutcase

He should not be shot, that was hardly a crushing defeat. There was still a lot of fight left in Mikkel in the 12th round.

How hungry he is is another matter. Scandinavians tend to be too well off, and feel too secure to really lay it on the line these days.

No I don't think so. There were more positives than negatives to take away from the Calzaghe fight. I'm afraid his management has though. The possibility that the Sartison fight is for no belt, depending on how the WBA views the case, is ridiculuos.

He got edged by a better boxer.
    No shame in that.

Kessler is the real deal and will be a champ again soon.

According to Kessler himself, he didn't have sparring the last month up to the Calzaghe fight - due to Kesslers alleged handinjury. Kessler says that this effected his timing. His hand is still sore from his latest two surgeries, but Kessler think that he will be in much better shape...

Sartison is in for a mega-whipping. :bbb

I think he'll come back strong.

Hopefully we'll see him unify 168 and battering Pavlik in the process before moving up to 175 and doing the same there.

Very good boxer and a great attitude also.

my opinion is that mikkel kessler will come out stronger,he now knows exactly what 12 rounds in a very fast pace is like.but maybe the most importing thing is,that he showed he belongs among the best in the division.
but he has to fight more fights!!!

I dont know, him backing out of the fight against Miranda should raise some red flags. I honestly dont think he's a better fighter now in defeat, I think he needs an easy fight to try and build his confidence back up, I guess Miranda was too dangerous of a comeback fight for him right now.

Fighters learn a lot when they lose. I think he will come back better imo. A lot of fighters lost and came back stronger and better than ever.

Tomasz Adamek is a good example. ;)
