No matter how you slice it his next fight is a confidence builder and not a marquee matchup.

That's not a good sign for a guy that didn't get all that beat up. I'm just surprised that someone who fought and lost a relatively close fight against an elite fighter all of sudden needs a boost of confidence.

I'm glad he has finally aranged another fight. Hatton last boxed a month or so later, got KO'ed into the ring post, has downed a million pints and pies in between, ballooned in weight and is back in the ring in a couple of weeks. He's hardly rushed back in as well...

People like Floyd, get slated and understandably for hardly fighting, but have earned the Kudos to fight once a year...

Calzaghe won comfortably on pts, but it was hardly a beating like Lacy received. Kessler's still young and he should be able to come back from the pts loss. At the time, to the cameras, he didnt seem too bothered about the defeat and was smiling and joking, perhaps it was just a front; who knows.

For the trillionth time, he didn't back out of the Miranda fight because of fear of Miranda - if he had, why would teampalle make the WBA elevate him in the rankings and try to get a new fight with him as soon as the Mundine fight fell through. Besides, Mundine is better than Miranda.

he seems like a mentally tough guy, he lost a competative fight to a hall of famer, he will be just fine.

Mundine is a less dangerous puncher, better boxer, but less of a risk. I do believe Kessler lost a bit of confidence in his loss against Calzaghe, time will tell if he ends up like Lacy or not.
