Pac****'s have already accepted it. It was a long time ago the only issue here is flowmoes trying to cut open a healed wound.
Morales was the better man on that night. Now, at the risk of sounding like an excuse, I will point out that Pacquiao was bleeding profusely from a butt for more than half of the fight, and yet gave a spirited and competitive performance. Had it been Morales who got the worse of the clash of heads and was forced to fight 7+ rounds with a massive gash over his eye then the fight might have gone differently.
He was winning the second fight halfway through fighting basically the same tactical but aggressive fight as the first. I don't think it was overconfidence that allowed him to get hit as the fight went on. He faded and his legs went too quickly to give Pac full credit for taking over. After he fought at 135 and hadn't made 130 in 10 months Morales was damaged getting down to 130 again. A prime and healthy El Terrible owns and beats up Pac every time. Pac's cut in the first fight? Fighters get cut. Morales had been cut plenty before and still fought cool under fire. The point: Morales cutting weight in the second fight debilitated him way more than Pac's gloves and socks affected him in the first.
Agreed with the spirit of most of what you are saying, but I think Pac deserves some credit, too, because he did exhibit a much better right hand and far better body work in the rematch, and that contributed to El Terrible's demise. Were it not for the addition of the right hand and better body work, Morales likely makes it to the final bell, and probably wins again. As you noted, he was doing quite well in the first half of the second fight. But there was really never any serious debate in the first fight. Morales won clearly, and had a 3 round lead entering the final round, when he fought stupidly and dropped that round, but could afford to do so. It was a very easy fight to score, IMHO. No shame at all in losing to the great El Terrible. And his eye against Maidana was far more debilitating than the cut Pac suffered, to illustrate an example of your other point. :smoke
Of course Morales is respected more than v0id he fought like a man.Not one mexican ran and hug like sissy void jr:rofl It's WAR guera against Mexican. Kill or be killed! :bbb
You don't like a different style of fighting, fine, but stop trying to degrade it as cheating or something, it's childish, it's a sport, you can prefer different approaches or appreciate them, you can't ****ing erase them because you can't comprehend them. It takes infinitely more ability to avoid getting hit and beating the opponent without running (which Floyd does not do in the majority of fights to be honest, Guerrero and Maidana 2 are the biggest examples of him actually being very mobile for 12 rounds) and I don't think a coward walks down Mosley, Alvarez, Cotto and stands right infront of Maidana and Pacquiao Stop with your fetishism, watch Lara lose to Canelo by literally running and not doing enough to warrant giving him rounds.
To be fair, PAcman was still developing as a fighter when he lost to Morales. He was still for the most part a one handed fighter at the lower weight classes. He got by with his speed, aggressive style and power. Still, it was a great win for EL Terrible and he deserves credit for beating an ATG fighter.
excuses aside after watching that fight both my respect and admiration went up for both men it was a grueling fight lesser fighters would of quit on both sides. Both showed heart and determination
Yes people forget that cut was horrible the mere fact Pac fought on and made it competitive despite that horrible cut speaks volumes. I still remember Pac wipping away the blood from his eye every time he threw a shot.
these eyes. these eyes these eyes Are crying these aeyes are crying with these socks and these shoulders but they never gonna cry for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Considering that you the TS are voluntarily changing the topic, I was wondering if you were you planning on changing the thread title to fit your real agenda to "let's talk about all of Pacquiao's defeats and his excuses whilst ignoring all of the relevant nuance?"
