I'm not going to get into a huge debate on the general fight. It's all subjective. But

1: I think this is the second fight in a row that Pacquiao has taken at least 3 rounds off, for a breather.

The Margarito fight, I thought he was hurt. Can't make that argument with this bout.

Both bouts, he started hard, took the middle rounds off, and finished hard.

That aint good, Pacquiao fans. When you've only got 6-7 hard rounds in you.

2: Pacquiao's footwork, and accuracy is plain abysmal. Blaming the running is just not an argument. You have to fight all styles in boxing.

But blaming a 40 year old, who gassed after 3 rounds with Mayweather, for being able to run away from you, with relative ease, for 12 rounds - you know, it's ridiculous.

After watching that fight, I came to 3 conclusions

1: Pacquiao's legs have gone. He's on the way out physically. This is confirmed by all the stupid excuses (cramp, ill fitting shoes) Top Rank have spewed out to the Phillipines, to keep the fans faith.

2: He probably should just concentrate on winning the media war with Mayweather, as he he'd get embarrassed in a boxing ring.

3: He's pretty overrated - career wise. Imagine how many he would have lost, or struggled in, if he'd not side stepped, and been protected from so many slick fighters..............

You know, you look at his resume, and you see pretty clearly why 99% of them are brawlers.

Great post ceej.... If you read what most "pacman" flunkie are saying after saturday's fight, they act as if pac blew shane out the water.. That's bull****... Ok shane didn't engage like normal--i wasn't happy about it, but what i was happy about was seeing pac fight a fighter that didn't stand there like a crash test dummy & get hit for 12 rounds.. Shane did basic movement & pac looked like a drunk ****** chasing his tail...shane may be done, but he proved that pac isn't as accurate & sharp as he's been built up to be by fighting someone with movement..oh & for any pac-man butt pirate that believes manny will beat floyd, please place a bet.. Tell him to take the test & come get his ass kicked...

I think because of not using PEDs for this fight is what made his legs useless for the Mosley fight.

manny usuall does his best work in the first 4 rounds of the fight.

Him not knowing how to cut off a boxing ring isn't anything new. You could see it in the Cotto fight

Yes. . be sure to remind Floyd that the one dimensional midget has no chance at all vs his superiority. Easy money :D

^ that and this ****ing thread sucks . Pacquiao was beating his ass all night, and Shane was running and spoiling for the entire fight. Shane was coming TOWARDS Floyd all night, and Floyd couldn't get him out of there.

Btw, how many people on this forum were saying Pacquiao could never knock out Shane? Now your trying to make it look like it was expected.

Pacquiao landed more punches on Shane then Floyd did, at a higher connect %, hurt him and dropped him which Floyd couldn't do , and was never bothered by anything Shane threw, whereas Floyd almost got his ass dropped.

    :thumbsup

Not making excuses but I don't think Manny gave himself enough time in between camp and fight night to rest. He still showed inability to cut off the ring against Cotto as most already mentioned. Even Morales & JMM gave him fits with footwork so Manny looking bad by footwork or running(two different things btw) isn't new.

Come on Leon. That is crazy.
Manny knows how to bait, cut off the ring and do whatever needed to win every round. He neutralized Mosley with his power, boxed in straight line to negate Mosley's counter hook and made Shane have to go toe to toe if he wanted to do anything offensively. Mosley was backing up being defensive. Straight line is quickest point to any distance straight ahead.

Shane wanted to be in the clear and the cream further from harms way
