so he won the wbc strap at a catchweight

plus as floyed says he fought miguel cotto and ricky hatton not there brothers

whos are both no where near as talented as there counterparts.:bbb

Canelo became a unified champion at 154 lbs. Floyd just happens to have won a title at the full 154 lb. limit. What's the problem? Just Floyd trying to get the upper-hand like always. For an so called ATG, he sure as hell doesn't believe in his skills.

It won the title at 150 catch weight, now he has to defend at 152, see no problem

I think most are just trying to give Floyd a hard time. Simply because he's established himself as a hypocrite.

Miguel lost his WW title to Manny and because the fight was at 145, Floyd went out of his way to highlight how much it bothered him. I believe he went as far as saying it was cheating and that it shouldn't be counted, officially.

NO Canelo wants the upper hand by trying to balloon himself up to 170, like Mayweather is stupid to let him do that.:rofl:lol:

The problem is the champion of a weight class (or belt holder) should be able to defend this title to the limit of that weight class. Seems pretty straight forward to me. I don't recall any of the fab 4 (well SRL did against Lalonde) making those kinds of stipulations when they fought each other.

You want to be the best, then fight the fighter you're getting in the ring at his best. no catch weight bs. Same goes for PAC btw or any other fighter for that matter.

I give Canelo a chance to beat Void, it's possible. I would have felt better if he had had a couple more fights under his belt, but you never know it's boxing. Void has the advantage of the venue, his referee, his judges, Void gets everything. If you were a judge, would you score a round against Void?

A Catchweight is a CATCHweight anyway you spin it.

Good fight, but the title shouldn't be on the line in catchweight fights.

You don't need the prospect of a championship belt to sell this fight anyways. The fight sells itself. The two undefeated world champion fighters from two different divisions fighting is what we want to see, not the trinket.

He won it against the now retire Matthew Hatton and Canelo still gained 14 lbs the night of the fight and I believe he had trouble making weight for that fight which was two years ago. Man is he in for beating by Mayweather.
