Have there been any fights where a fighter made an unthinkable comeback?

Abraham winning with double-broken jaw vs Miranda. Everyone thought it would get stopped, every round. And then it kept going, and going and going. Not a KO turnaround, but still an interesting win against all odds.

This. It completely fits the description of what OP was asking for. Molina got outboxed and outworked for 9 and a half rounds, a comeback seemed impossible,

Carl Thompson vs Sebastian Rothmann is one of my favourites. Thompson on the ropes hurt and taking shots then one right hand and he pole axes Rothmann who pitches forward pace first on to the canvas.

Thompson also had the come from behind win against David Haye, as well as a hotly contested fight with Terry Dunstan which he ended with one shot in the final round. God he had great one shot power, could turn a fight in a blink of an eye.

We must have watched a different fight. All I saw was Foreman miss a lot and land ineffective punches while Ali countered with straight hard shots. The judges had Ali ahead at time of stoppage as well.

There's always some stupid Pac fan that references a point in his career when these threads are made. We get it, you watch Pacquiao. :happy Want a cookie?

The fight was fairly close at that point, btw. Pac was up by ONE whole round. :hi:
