Chris Eubank was NEVER a shot fighter, faded yes, but not what I would call shot.

Whilst Hopkins, if you take away two robberies (IMO) vs Taylor, his only defeat in 15 years was against RJJ, and his most recent wins were against a good Tarver, and a beached whale in Wright.

It's like Warren accidentally got Lockett a shot at the WBC belt.

Many people view boxing through tainted eyes. To me Nigel Benn ****s you up because he is Nigel Benn, not because we both hold the same passport. The crime of 90's boxing was the **** up and fall out of the Middleweight divisions.

Regardless of how many Roy Jones DVD's I own, he still became in essentially Elvis Pressley in Vegas when he left the Middleweight divisions. Put on a great show but really wasnt giving us his best.

OTOH ... if Roy was less realistic he could have stayed at SMW for twenty years and destroyed all the comparative bums that followed him .. like JC .. playing basketball in the morning ... chasing chickens in the afternoon ... and KOing whomever entered the ring that night.

Instead, he made his career fighting bigger guys because at least that helped even things out a bit vis-a-vis his other worldly skills.

Roy 'Elvis' Jones couldn't face himself without at least some kind of challenge ... sure, with his abilities he could have taken on even more challenges and he fought a few weak souls at LHW ... but he is still the complete antithesis of the Euro fighter ....

    ?

    Where is the what?

He left the division and it became the weakest division for a decade or so ...

Roy moved up and fought bigger guys .. without that decision Joe could be pumping gas ....

I think your description of the SMW division as weak during the 90's has answered any questions about your boxing knowledge.
