This is a serious question, I'm honestly not trying to hate on the September 14th bout. Please don't infer anything. I doubt this would have happened in the era of same day weigh ins. Back in those days men entered the ring weighing very similar to what they did on the scale. However, I genuinely don't know. Anybody?

I think their catch weight was at 158 or 157 something like that but both ended up coming in as Jr Middleweights for **** sakes.
Dont know about back then but Peterson-Matthysse pissed me off, making it at 141 just so no one would lose a belt
That was annoying for sure, but at least the fight got made. I'd have been more pissed if it didn't happen just because one or both fighters was too worried about losing their belt.
