So you think Pac should have taken the 40 million he was offered by floyd with no PPV split? Who wouldn't turn that down? Now pac is going to make a minimum of $80 million and up to $120+ million.

And the first time was because floyd was trying to come up with his own drug testing mandates and trying to call all the shots. Back then it was a 50/50 fight so no need to give into all of his demands.

    Keep drinking the TMT koolaid

No there shouldn't be. Things have been going well the way they are and Boxers are getting paid for their services. If things were bad the sport wouldn't have lived for as long as it had with dedicated fans all over the world. Improvements are always welcome but the system will always remain the same.

It's not that he didn't take the 40 mill, it's he didn't even try to counter or Negotiate. First rule of negotiating you start with a lowball number and go from there. The fact Pacquiao handed the phone off and didn't attempt to enter negotiations shows he didn't want the fight. Another fact let out by his team :deal

I love boxing and idolise boxers. The crazy thing is 99% of them would do it for free, something tells me "money Mayweather" is in the 1% bracket and dose do it for the money. He's boring to watch and that baffles me.

Absolutely loved it but it also proved fatal to some careers. Dirrell, Kessler, Taylor and Abraham(to some extent).

Like any sport, boxing is choice. You either chose to watch or not to. Fighters don't have to please the fans. They just have to win.

I see your point, but with so many rivalrys that happened in the U.K, that would've added to the list of rivalrys.

I just didn't like Hattons excuse for not fighting him. 2008-2009 was a great window for the both of them considering that they both lost important fights during that time.

Hatton was clearly in a different league than witter though. Hatton did the british then the European thing, I was at Hattons first big test against Ben Tackie and Witter just was not on the radar. I might sound dismissive but Witter used Hatton to build himself up. I remember feeling sorry for Witter because Hatton had moved on and he had no one domestically to challenge.
