Have we seen the last hall of fame level heavyweight until ten or more years pass?

I don't make judgments without proof. It's how I roll.

Wlad positively whaled on Povetkin. Scored at least two legit knockdowns and made his face look like a splattered pastry. Friend of mine and I were watching that fight live on HBO and both of us agreed that the ref should have stopped it around the 5th-6th round. And Klit was killing Brewster prior to being stopped without having to clinch if you watched. Wlad didn't do anything illegal. he's had maybe two or three points deducted in his whole career for excessive holding which isn't squat in a career spanning nearly 70 fights and 20 years. See the first Brewster fight below.

You might as well have said - i didn't watch either fight.. Wlad got warned 5-6 times per round to stop holding and he only lasted FOUR.
Thats not even the full fight you watched. Its a HIGHLIGHT REEL compiling Wlads best moments. Byrd was on his case non stop about illegal holding and leaning. Its all he was saying every round. Watch the full fight ffs. No wonder you and the other K fanatics think he's unbeatable. You only watch the highlight reels.
Go to 4.16 and see Byrd has to go into his corner to reprimand him. And look at him there in after the 3rd. He's totally finished .

Wlad could not deal with Bewster in a fair fight . Without being allowed to hold and lean every 10 seconds Brewster was able to run through him in just 5 rounds. The man was a fraud.

Yeah , no. As i said , Huck waled on him. Wlad held and leaned like sacred timid lil mouse. That an absolute fact

I DID watch the full fight thanks. And regardless he was pushing those guys stools in. I've already said earlier that I didn't like his excessive holding either, but unlike yourself I don't sum up his whole career by it. You just cling to what you feel to be an asterisk to discredit everything he ever did. BTW, I'm not a K fantatic, but I also don't pick obscure fringe contenders to beat him as you do.

Yeah thanks for the highlight reel, the very same thing you criticized me for posting. Unfortunately that reel doesn't show Povetkin getting repeatedly knocked on his ass or his face blown up like a balloon.

No , i can list loads more fights he won by illegal clinch fest. It goes back as far as MaCline in 2002.

And the only guy who got his stool pushed in is Wlad by Brewster.. In what world does a guy who gets destroyed in pretty much 4 round equate to him pushing in the stool of the guy who pushed his stool in?:nut:

Its 23 mins non stop footage of the fight with the breaks removed. That IS the fight. Thats everything that happened.

And yeah it does show the throw downs. Go to the 10.00 mark. Wlad flings Pov to the canvas by the neck. If you are unable to be objective and call it how it was - that makes you a Klitschko fanatic.

In a previous post I said PRIOR TO THE STOPPAGE, meaning he wasn't relying exclusively on clinching. Lamon was even decked. In either case, Wlad will be in the hall of fame, he already appears in some people's top 10, and he shouldn't be picked to lose to people like Andrew Golata.

And you still say this despite video footage proving you wrong.

The video footage shows a lot more than just Wlad clinching.

Yeah , it shows Brewster making easy work out of him. He landed some great body shots that lead to Wlads break down.

Wlad looked good in brief spots , but he can never maintain it and tired to hold and lean a lot more than he tried to actually box. His reign was 100% dependant on him shutting the fight down to his pace with sickening amounts of illegal bear hugging.
This is why i don't favour him in fair fought fantasy fights . He's a cheat and cheats are always hiding something.

Sometimes I think Dino is here to pull or legs. It's the most logical explanation. But I do like him. He's inadvertently funny!

Vitali Klitschko will be eligible for induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame beginning with the Class of 2018, so at the very end of this calendar year (December 2017), we will learn whether he will make it. I think he makes it in on the first ballot. The 2018 Hall Class figures to be Erik Morales, Winky Wright, and Vitali. Vitali, like his younger brother, has dominated the heavyweight landscape for a very long time. Wladimir Klitschko surely is a first-ballot lock for the Hall of Fame and we will see him in Canastota in his first year of eligibility. Surefire. In general, heavyweights seem to have more leeway among Hall voters, it's almost a bit easier for a famous heavyweight to get inducted (see Bowe in 2015). But we must keep in mind that the voting pool is heavily American, heavily younger and heavily biased against international fighters so someone like Vitali's chances for elevation will be heightened only during years in which he is surrounded by inferior names on the list (in theory). After Holyfield in 2017, the next American heavyweight who I predict we'll see taking his place among boxing immortals is Chris Byrd.

Looking ahead, here are some more first-ballot locks bound for Canastota:
    Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (2019)
    Floyd Mayweather Jr. (2021)
    James Toney (2021)
    Bernard Hopkins (2022)
    Roy Jones Jr. (TBA)

Damn, Wlad jumped and had every pound of his body on Povetkin lol.
He really was a master of the clinch.
