First name that came to mind when I read the topic. Pov could have been a monster. Bad enough those Ruskies turn pro so old, but Atlas further ******ed his development.

Im going to say something absolutely crazy but I believe that Felix Trinidad Sr. was a limited trainer who did not give Tito the tools to be more versatile. Tito had the talent to be a better boxer than he was. I think Felix Sr. was too in love with his sons punching power and not enough development was given to know what to do when that power was neutralized.

Yet you don't refute any of my claims by shooting them down with facts.

Did DLH not have technical coaches like Gil Clancy who btw devised the gameplan that DLH employed vs Trinidad?

…….and who the hell did DLH ever beat that was Grade A and in his prime???

Abel Sanchez is the most over rated coach in boxing. The man gets good Eastern European talent but he turns them into stationary targets with no defense or head movement. I wish Golovkin had gone with Robert Garcia or Freddie Roach from the jump.

He beat! Moseley and Trinidad bro! Stop hating! He is as clearly levels above Trinidad but alcazar has him employ the wrong strategy!

He beat Moseley in the se one fight even though Moseley was rounded up to the max with clean, clear and epo

This is apparent with Sor Rungvisai. With his skillset he should have been snapped up by a top level trainer and possibly follow the footsteps of Manny Pacquiao. Instead, he became lackadaisical and oddly complacent, coupled with a baffling ineffective strategy in the rematch with Estrada.

Zab Judah! He should have dropped his dad from his corner and got with the Mayweathers. Rog and Sr. Could have done wonders, I think

I had DLH losing all three, but even if you are of the opinion that he beat Trinidad, DLH had ample opportunity to right that wrong by offering Trinidad the parity or even close to it to make the rematch happen. DLH never did that, he never made a real effort to have a Trinidad rematch happen and you know what? That move by DLH affects his legacy today.

On Mosley, Mosley clearly beat him at the weight it mattered 147 lbs where they were both prime and without PED's.
DLH was a naturally bigger fighter than Mosley and DLH challenged Mosley for the rematch to take place at 154 lbs which is likely why Mosley felt the need to use PED's to bulk himself up to be able to handle that weight.
I thought Mosley decisioned DLH in a close fight at the weight, but for your sake of pointing to PED"s, I'm willing to disregard that fight and just go with the first fight where both were prime and ready.
Mosley by a long mile, he clearly won that first fight.

First name that popped into my head also, great call. I don't know enough about McDonnell's gym and what goes on there. I know he gets his fighters fit but **** me, his corner work in fights is shite!

Possibly ( POSSIBLY ) Angelo Dundee with Ali. He let him do whatever he wanted and take punishment in sparring ,it shortened his career and abilities and Cus Damato called it before his first Frazier fight. Dundee wasn't a boxing scholar he was Alis motivator but that doesn't improve fighters. Ali could have been more technically sound and a Holmes like fighter with better punching but others will argue his unorthodox style made Ali, but beyond hype he really wasn't hard to hit if someone had reach or a Frazier style . I refuse to believe though doing things wrong and the result is struggling in fights he shouldn't is better for anyone.

Archie Moore was Alis original trainer and he left him because the work was to strict. Who knows how Ali developes under Moore ? Trainers shouldn't have to go beyond rules to save fighters to get wins, I believe Dundee helped Alis career with connections but the progress ? Im in no.

Probably Gregorio Benitez, Wilfred Benitez's father. He's the reason why Wilfed's prime was cut so short.
