From the Bruselles fight to this fight with Ortiz. Think of the fights that haven't been made; Cotto 2008, Mosley 2006, Pacquiao 2009 and Margarito 2006.

Compared to what it could have been it isnt good, but its not bad either, dlh, mosley, judah, hatton are several of his best wins, even the ortiz fight is decent because of his ranking in the division and beinga beltholder. Only reason people are angry is because they want him to fight pacquiao. In the end the fights that didnt happen in that period will stick out more than the wins.

Compared to what it could have been, his resume is really disappointing. I don't think it's a stretch to say that his career will be remembered more for the fights that didn't happen than the ones that did.

That being said, it's hard to say wins over Judah and ODLH aren't impressive.

yeah he got a hold of a judah that fought the whole fight and didn't crap out and quit or get stopped

he fought him right down to the wire and went to the decision

that's more then we can say for some of judahs losses

It is good but I would trade the Bladomir fight for Cotto and the Mosley ( old ) for Pac. Also the Mitchell fight for Mosley ( younger ) or Margarito.

I'd would like to have seen him busier but the competiton is solid.

The Baldomir fight, I don't get why people have such an issue with it. Because Floyd boxed the **** out of him?

Baldo hadn't lost a fight in like 10 years and had fought some OK competition in that time, including Zab Judah who was the true champ of the division.

he also was the ring champion, baldomir win is good same as ortiz win would be now imo but if he retires and doesnt face pac people will act like how they did with baldomir that cotto, williams, mosley, margarito were better options.
In the end if he had not retired and beat cotto and margarito back then, his legacy would be greater and its very likely he would have been fotd.
His inactivity caused the situation that allowed pac to surpass him.
His resume is still good though.

His resume above 135 is poor.

Would've looked a whole better if he'd fought Tszyu, Pacquiao, Cotto, Margarito, Williams and a younger Mosley.

Overall it isn't bad but the choice of opponents at the particular time
vs the choice of opponents he 'ducked' is unbeliveable.

Yes, his resume is good. He just needed to fight more fights. The fighters who some claimed Floyd ducked, Floyd did not dick them. How one can mention Kostya Tszyu is beyond me. Blame Arum for not making some of those fights happen. Floyds contract with Top Rank got in the way.

did floyd not offer Mosley and Cotto fights? Cotto turned down cause he was too green and mosley cause he had a tooth ache?
