If you have, how would you compare it to other painful shots, like getting hit in the liver, or taking one in the junk

Its a little scary... you can't breath... literally! You feel like your going sufficate.

But then 1 minute later its like nothing ever happened.

It's not that painful at all. You're more like concentrating on trying to breathe-period. It's especially dangerous if you're hit while you already exhaled because, your system starves for air but the diaphram simply doesn't work. It's stunned.

All three are different feelings. In the junk... I am sure you know how that feels. Intense pain and it gives you a sick feeling in the stomach. In the Solar Plexus you can't breathe, takes away your air. In the liver it's also very painful but it paralyzes your legs.

It knocks the air out of you if you get hit and dont see it coming..Pain? Nah, it doesnt hurt.. The liver or ribs is much worse painwise.

The worst pain I ever felt was having 2 top wisdom teeth removed at the same time. For some reason they both had 2 separate roots............

Yes. It doesn't really have to be a hard hit but more of a precise hit. The worst part is that there is nothing you can do to train that area.

The first time you get hit in the solar plexus it feels like you are going to die if you don't have any clue what to expect.

Someone nailed it when they said you're too focused on not dying to feel any pain.

It doesn't hurt much at all but it completely knocks the wind out of you. You can't breathe whatsoever.

gah - a bareknuckle sparring session with my bro, solar plexus shot had me on the floor, yes as previously mentioned had me unable to breathe, but also in a lot of a stinging, sharp pain. junk, you don't fear death but hurts more, liver, i dunno.
but that shot has made me scared of that area now, gotta admit.

If you do not see the punch and you get hit in the solar plexus in the middle of a breath --- there is nothing much you can do.

On the other hand, you can strenghthen the muscles around the solar plexus. There are several exercises, including taking medicine ball hits.

Now its about seeing and anticipating shots that you cannot avoid.
The body and muscles contract upon impact.

And yes I have been hit there.
And yes, one can become conditioned to take most solar plexus shots.
And yes, if you are not focused and dont see the shot coming you will most likely very uncomfortable to say the least. And it depends how hard you are getting hit.

Try to be the pitcher and not the catcher.

Solar plexus or Liver has never happened to me. If junk means right in the gut, yes that **** HURTS. I have been dropped a couple of times thanks to my trainer. He told the opponent I don't really work on abs. The only thing he did not tell the opponent is that or warn was that I get up fast and remember what Tito use to do. I ended both by devastating KO. I felt bad afterwards when my trainer told me what he did. People forget that it is alot of pain and now you have to defend yourself. That pain stays lingering for at least two rounds. I did not learn my lesson, but I got very good at protecting my body. I rather get hit in the jaw then right in the stomach.
