I've only been to one "major" fight in Vegas, but it was a good one - Brandon Rios vs. Mike Alvarado II (candidate for fight of the year). I also got to see Terrence Crawford on the undercard (he was still very green at this stage), and I remember being distinctly impressed with how well he moved and boxed in the ring. He was incredibly smooth. I also distinctly remember the level of passion in the crowd, particularly among the Latino members of the audience. Every punch, every wild swing, every bell, they were on fire through all of it. It was an excellent fight to see live. Other than that, I've seen some local cards and had an opportunity to see BJ Flores in action a handful of times.
I live in Connecticut, USA and with the casinos we have in the state and Atlantic City nearby (when it hosted major fights) I have been to many. The most memorable would be: Gatti - Ward 1 Corrales - Freitas Barrera - Peden (RIP Leavander Johnson) Klitschko - Peter (Cotto - Torres on undercard was awesome) Pavlik - Taylor 1 Hopkins - Pavlik GGG - Macklin I am sure I am leaving a few out but those are the ones I recall at the moment.
Was going to go to Froch Groves 2 But with ticket prices, flights, accommodation in London, food etc it was too expensive for this brokeback cowboy Same went for GGG Brooks
yeah a few, a bigger one was W.Klitschko vs Pulev but most of them were small cards like and Culcay vs Hogan for example
Froch vs Dirrell, the only one I went to. And the most exciting thing that happened was Jean Pascal walked past me at one point.
Amateur and pro, probably close to a thousand over 45 years and in six different states, two countries.
Yep, I dont go to enough fights to deal with cheap seats when I do go. Probably two shows a year, last one was Eubank Jnr v Abraham.
I'm in Edinburgh so not many big fight come my way. I try to get to a couple down in London each year if im feeling flush and then local fights when I can. I've been to Josh Taylor's recent fights. Although every time I leave for a match the wife tuts loudly (she doesn't approve of boxing even when I explain it's a noble sport)
I saw Rigo vs Donaire at radio city music hall for free with a cousin. I always liked boxing but that was the moment when I really appreciated the sport. Rigo usually boring, was spectacular in that fight.
Ive seen: GGG vs Rubio/Monroe/Wade all in LA Garcia vs Guerrero Chavez Jr vs Fonfara Chocolatito vs Cuadras Smith Jr vs Barrera Smith Jr vs Hopkins Been to a bunch of smaller cards in the LA area
Pro fights only Brook v Spence.. atmosphere was mad I try to go to a lot of amateur shows following few friends boxing. Also went to Hamburg for amateurs world championships final (which I’d say I enjoyed more than Brook Spence)
Been to most major cards in Montreal for the past decade, but I enjoy going to small cards and amateur shows too. Went across the border to catch Matthysse vs Provodnikov in NY and I loved it.
I live right next to Wembley stadium but just can’t be paying crazy money to be anywhere close enough to see what’s happening. Happy to watch at home on the telly
